This was my favourite stop of the highlands tour. A really beautiful hotel with an incredibly warm welcome from the team. The room was clean and tidy and I left feeling super relaxed. Should have stayed for longer!
In a picturesque bay in the south of Skye, this hotel has beautiful views over the Sound of Sleat and the distant hills of Knoydart.

We had a lovely large room and bathroom overlooking the loch. We chose to eat in the pub/bar as we could have the dogs with us. The food was great and the bar had a great atmosphere. Afterwards we sat in the lounge area with our dogs. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent.

Great location, very welcoming host with a nice tour round when I arrived, the whole place is very well thought out with a good mix of approachable friendliness and privacy, the small details really made a difference from the kitchen equipment to the wood pile and the reading materials provided was a nice touch, the communications from the host before I arrived were also very helpful to help me know how to find the place and what to expect,
With traditional rooms and a cosy bar, this hotel offers free parking and fine dining. The Kyle Hotel is situated in the Kyle of Lochalsh, the gateway to the Isle of Skye.

We were a group of 9 motorcyclists staying over before a trip round Skye.
Reception, bar and restaurant staff were very attentive and helpful. Although we'd been told in advance that we wouldn't be able to eat together in the restaurant, they managed to rearrange the seating for us which we appreciated. Good service from all areas.
Set in Broadford, 14 km from Kyle of Lochalsh, House of Juniper offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a bar. The hotel has a sauna, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi.

The room was very stylish and comfortable. We got a tasty breakfast delivered to our room and used the sauna.

Location was good with a nice view over the loch, bathroom was nice with a good shower, reception area and bar looked nice though we didn't eat and drink there as we were on a 2 night stay of a 2 week roadtrip, it always looked busy, overall for Skye was good value

It is away from the busier parts of Skye, making it a quieter location, but within reasonable travelling time of Portree. Teangue, on the Sleat Peninsula, has a few eating places nearby should you not want to cook

Great location.
Great location. Nice to get boat across from Mallaig instead of using the bridge. Plenty of choice of places to eat and drink in that area. Go off the main roads and discover the beautiful single track roads which take you to beautiful scenic areas.

Great staff.
Great staff. I had a tough journey that day taking in 2 of 3 ferries to try and take in the drive and Island hoping experience. One ferry got cancelled due to a very low tide, which resulted in a 2hr delay and having to detour inland to make it to my destination as the last ferry from that point left @ 6pm. Logistics, know where and what you are looking to do and the time limits that apply :)

Not much here and not close to the main attractions on Skye.
Not much here and not close to the main attractions on Skye. Southern part of the island close to ferry to Maillag. Skye was much busier than expected with innumerable camper vans/ mobile homes clogging even the single track roads. Surprisingly few places to eat in the evening given the large number of b&bs and camp sites. Beautiful island but can rain when rest of country in sunshine. Prepare for any weather. If the proposed airport is built, it will ruin the island.
The apartment is in a beautiful part of the island and it is a lovely place to come back to at the end of some long sight-seeing days.
Although not within walking distance of many places to eat, it is close to a number of hotels offering food to non residents and a good local shop is only a short distance away at Armadale. The Toravaig distillery cafe next door is a great place to eat during the day and the distillery itself is well worth a visit.
Excellent property, next to main road but still very quiet. Very well maintained with modern gadgets and facilities.
After a day out, relaxing evenings with Netflix and Prime subscribed TV!!! Just 10 minutes drive from the Mallaig-Armadale ferry terminal
Make sure you follow the guidance given by the hosts to locate the property. Tricky to locate with sat nav, It’s between the hotel and distillery!
Absolutely stunning property, sitting outside with the view was priceless. The house was clean and perfectly appointed, even the fire was set up! Bedrooms were comfortable and supplied with robes. Location was incredible, we were able to explore the entirety of Skye with our car.
This is a lovely country house with a few bedrooms and a restaurant. The girl on reception and her colleague in the restaurant did a great job looking after us and the tow of them ran all of front of house activities. The decor and ambience of the hotel is lovely.
Staff were excellent, gave us personal attention. Appreciated the hotel's attention to detail and creature comforts, e.g. excellent toiletries and bath towels included flannels!
Silke was brilliant, nothing too much trouble and a font of knowledge on the area and the nice chap serving breakfast was kind, friendly and an asset to the hotel too .
