The location is superb with the hotel facing the sea and shingle beach. The food was overall very good (Breakfast was excellent) and wine list at dinner was more than adequate. Lounge area was very pleasant.

Chalk Farm Hotel was comfortable and very convenient for walking on the South Downs. My room was very large with good quality tea, coffee and biscuits as well as a complimentary bottle of spring water. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was very good. The place has a lot of character and has an interesting George Orwell connection as it is thought that Animal Farm was based on Chalk Farm

The location was great for the pavilion. Our room was simply stunning. It was absolutely spotless. The freshly cooked breakfast was perfect.

Philip and Nicky could not have done any more for us. They made us feel very comfortable throughout our 2 nights stay and even helped us in producing the bus timetable for our visit to Eastbourne (bus stops are directly opposite) which was a great bonus for us, being rather elderly pensioners. Breakfast was excellent and the two evening meals were exceptional.

Stayed here before & it remains very good if a little expensive. Restaurant good & breakfast excellent. Nice large room with a seafront view.

Room was lovely, with an ensuite bathroom. Nice size room with TV. Breakfast was lovely. Nice hearty size and hosts were really friendly. Was in a great location, just a short walk to the beach front.

We loved our weekend stay with our young family. Our host was so accommodating and friendly and the flat was lovely, clean and spacious. Just a 3 mins drive to the coast, 25mins to Druscillas park and 25mins to the Eastbourne Miniature Railway so fantastic location. Thank you :)
