With limited space to accommodate my family, I opted to book this cottage for an overnight stay before my wedding in December 2023, and it was a great experience. Our host provided detailed instructions for accessing the property, allowing us the flexibility to check in at our convenience amidst the pre-wedding chaos. Their prompt response to any questions we had added to the smoothness of our stay. We were greeted by a beautifully lit Christmas tree in the front room upon arrival, which was a lovely touch and created a real homely feel. It’s a charming gem and I wouldn't hesitate to book again in future.

Room spacious and clean, large bed comfy, good sized tv and decent shower. Very close to town so easy to get food. Nice walk over the old stone bridge - very picturesque. I bet this hotel gets packed in summer with patio area on riverside.

A charming inn, steeped in history, located in a beautiful riverside hamlet. The room was compact, but very comfortable and clean. The restaurant served excellent food and beer. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Luckily for us, this location was a clue in our photographic challenge and was a perfect place to stay.

Perfect location, just outside Cambridge. The rooms are large, airy, well lit with very comfortable beds and a large clean well equipped bathroom. Very comfortable, clean and great value for money. The rooms are in a seperate building from the pub so no disturbance. But the best, and always the most important, are the staff...they were just great - warm, friendly, accomodating and very pleasant to interact with. Bravo team Red Lion!! We will definitely be back!
