The host was welcoming. The room was very clean and neat. They provided us with a great breakfast. Felt like home. They also gave us a tour of their wine making.
Gori: A Day Trip from Tbilisi
Gori is a small and quiet town in central Georgia, with a population of around 50,000 people. It is best known as the birthplace of Joseph Stalin, and it is home to a number of Stalin-related museums and attractions.
Gori is a good enough place to visit for a day trip from Tbilisi, but there is not much to see or do otherwise. The main attractions in Gori are:
Stalin Museum: This museum is dedicated to the life and legacy of Joseph Stalin. It contains a large collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents related to him. The museum isn't well-organized and informative, and thus it is helpful to have a guide to explain the exhibits in more detail. There were photos of several men, but no real explanation as to who they were. We tried to find a guide who could explain things to us, but due to a language barrier, we failed at this. The ticket price is 15 GEL (6 USD) per person.
Gori Fortress: This medieval fortress is located on a hilltop overlooking the city. It offers underwhelming views of the surrounding countryside. The fortress is in ruins and didn't really feel like it was worth a climb.
Hero Memorial: It had cool giant sculptures but with no real explanation.
I also ate at Berkin Restaurant in Gori. The food was nice, but the prices were similar to Tbilisi, so it is not a budget-friendly option.
It's clear they are very new to tourists.
Overall, Gori is a worth a visit if you are interested in learning more about Joseph Stalin or Georgian history. However, there is not much else to see or do in the town, so it is best to visit as a day trip from Tbilisi.

I've been to Gori several times of the past years. The cutleti is awesome and the fortress is a fun place to explore. Aside from the infamous Stalin museum, there is a interesting ethnographic museum and the war museum.

We have fallen in love with Gori, it is one of our most favorite places to stay now. One of the best restaurants in Georgia call Gori home, from the ruins, to the temple to the Castle, slowly walking through oldtown or visiting one of the most iconic museums in history you cant stop falling in love with Gori, the rich culture, history and friendly hosts this area has to offer is seldom found outside of major centres around the world, the city successfully hosts their offering to travelers and guests.

Lots to see but do not miss those slightly hiding circle of warriors - all cut up with missing limps and obviously representing soldiers that have been slain in battle. At the base of the castle and behind a church.

A very interested area to visit, old history - one need to read a bid more before visiting the city of Gori
Lots of places to visit
If your accommodation is in the center you do not need to have transport, all is within walking distance
Local food is recommended
We had a pleasant stay here. The apartment is almost brand new and well equipped and located at the centre of the city, It is only 5 minutes walk from the Stalin Museum. Bakery, coffeeshop and supermarket is just under the building. The owner is so kind to offer us a pickup from the E60 gas station (Our minivan driver heading to Tbilisi forgot to drop us in Gori and missed the exit on E60, instead, stopped at a service station along E60 near Gori).
Will come back if visiting Gori again.
Amazing stay at this centrally located Guesthouse in Gori, convenient to explore all key sights and wander around the old town.
I felt truly welcomed and experienced famous Georgian hospitality.
The breakfast was nicely and timely served.
The host (Marina and Teimuraz) were super hospitable and shared some tips about what is worth visiting around Gori and arranged some transportation for me.
I highly recommend to stay one night at least in Gori and explore this hidden gem properly.
Bekas and Ilona are the most hospitable and sweet hosts in Gori, if not in Georgia!
The rooms are very warm and comfortable and stylish. The meals they prepare are something you should try if you want to have a true Georgian Experience! They also arrange excursions and transportation and generally they can help with just about anything!!
On top of that it was a great surprise to know that they speak greek!
The photos on the site do not do justice to the rooms!
We were honoured to be one of the first guests and reviewers of this brand new hotel in Gori.
The studios were very spacious, modern and well designed. Beautiful view from the balcony and extremely comfortable bed.
Kitchen and bathroom has everything you need. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect.
We wish everyone involved a bright future and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Gori.
We had a “Vip” room downstairs, which is great cozy room with a nice architecture.
Only thing is missing ac and tv, but we stayed only one night in Gori so worked out for us.
Staff that was looking after us was great, always asked if we needed anything, was really nice and even gave us wine on arrival! Location is not great but gori has not much going on anyway! Very cute and cozy hotel I recommend if you stay at gori !
The location, all the main attractions are in one hour distance, places like sabaduri forest, borjomi Bakuriani, Gudauri mountain are 1-2 hours range.
The customer service and the attitude of the owner lady is amazing.
Also she prepares nice breakfast including Georgian-foods.
At night they keep home made vines for the guests. Best for family group and couples.
Very hospitable guesthouse owner Anna, who was friendly and kindly looked after us. She had renovations going on with property. It's a charming soviet style guest house/ B&B and is good for a night's stay on the way to Kutaisi. Just a few minutes away from Stalins' birthplace in Gori.
Very good Georgian village style breakfast
We loved the fact that our cottage was in a winery. It gave us the possibility to experience the best wine tasting we had in Georgia. The combination of comfortable cottage + great wine tasting was just perfect. The cottage is in the city of Ateni city, a 10-min drive to Gori.
A simple, inexpensive place to spend the night in Gori. That's what we did. The renovation is basic, no frills, there is a refrigerator in the room. The heating was sufficient for March, the water in the shower was warm. The staff was friendly and spoke Russian.
The location is super convenient for seeing everything in Gori. Walking distance. Right next to the fortress. The apartment is clean and well organized. The owners are very sweet. It's very safe. It's quiet and good WiFi.
Everything about my stay was perfect. Super clean and comfortable rooms, cozy design, friendly stuff and all necessary amenities. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone who plans to stay in Gori.
Lea the owner shows off Georgian hospitality better than anyone I have met in Georgia. From here warm welcome to fabulous cooking your will want to stay more days than you have time.
Right in the centre of Gori, close proximity to landmarks. Affordable. The hotel cafe serves delicious fare with decent portion size - absolutely love the Gori cutlet dish.
Good location near the center of Gori, even if there isn't much apart from Stalin museum.
Gori is a small city and after 7pm everything is closed and there are no people.
