Visited St. George for 13 nights with my wife and two kids 9 and 12 years, and we had an amazing stay. Breakfast was excellent. Served fresh with a wide selection. Tea, coffee and selections of juice and water. Also fresh fruits and sweets available. The hotel is very well kept, with new and fresh rooms, beautiful well kept green area on the grounds and an amazing pool area. The pool area is clean and well kept. There is plentiful of sunbeds with an umbrella for every two sunbeds. Both sunbeds and umbrellas are new and well kept. Wifi was excellent. Cleaning was above standard - spotless and with attention to details. Most profound was the friendly service from the family - everyone was so helpful and friendly, and everyone did their best to accommodate any requests. We recommend St. George to everyone one and will revisit when returning to Rhodos. Thank you!

The owner was super helpful, she communicated with us before arriving. We visited in December and the house was beautifully decorated, which made it feel extra special. Also we got to use the fireplace which made it extra cosy. The house has a very welcoming atmosphere, the terrace is great and has a view over the ocean. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything works well. Also the bathroom was in order. The garden is beautiful and well kept and the house really has everything you need.

Real life of local people and typical atmosphere of the island, no big hotels, calm place but with all the equipement. In Archangelos is good shop with fresh fish that you can cook. bakery and lots of small local cafes. There is a view point from where you can go by walk to Stegna (45 min).

We loved everything!
We loved everything! This small town is a HAPPY multigenerational place meaning it is always busy and vibrant. Welcoming and friendly to all. HOW many quality bakeries????
Clean, safe and well endowed with supermarkets, ATM's and three bus stops through the village to rest of Island.
A place happy in its skin xx
All restaurants/tavernas/bars/coffee shops top notch to suit all budgets. Fave places are HELLAS, Gregory's (chain but used by locals), Panorama (just out of Arch main road near Tsampika church for shaded dining and amazing views), Stegna Kozas for seafood and fun beach side dining. Classy...cheap or extravagant with the same service!
AVOID early bus 630/730 as full of students.
AVOID taking huge cases on board. Ask driver to put in trunk!!

Really well located for exploring the island, with everything you need easy to find.
We went to see the ruins at Karimos, the folk museum of Lardos, the acropolis at Lindos (we got there at 0830 and breezed straight in- by 10am the queue was huge!), the quiet and beautiful wild beach at Lahania, the amazing wind and kite surfing beach at Prasonisi), the deserted Italian buildings in Eleousa (which were amazing), and Seven Springs.

A lovely, quiet part of the Rhodes coastline that is an absolute must to visit. The beach itself is lovely with a spattering of small shops, lovely eateries and bars.
Stegna has a mix of accommodations for every type of traveller and budget.
Archangelos also has a small town with a few more shops and necessities too.
A care here is necessary - definitely worth the cost of hiring one as taxi's are expensive.

The old town seems to be more traditional and not much a tourist destination, with nice blue and white houses lining the narrow streets. It is possible to take a walk down to Stegna, but it is advisable to take some firm shoes. Stegna itself consists of one beach street/promenade and some houses. There are several tourist shops that also offer some basic needs such as food, two car rentals, and a bus stop that is served by one bus daily to Rhodes city; however there are frequent buses to/from both Rhodes city and the south of the island from the old town. There are also daily ship cruises to Lindos from Stegna.

Archangelos is a small functional town with 2 big supermarkets. It is not at all a holiday destination, however, there are some good tavernas to choose from, particularly Afentika for fresh fish and very friendly service.
Michaelis is an exceptional, caring host. It's amazing that despite of the private demanding commitments, he devotes so much heart to tourists spending the night under his roof. He offered us Greek yoghurt many times and let us use his private washing machine, which was a blessing during the trip. We felt at home in his hotel, so if returning to Rhodes, we cannot imagine living anywhere else. Tourists have been coming back here for 45 years every year for a reason. It speaks for itself.
According to Peter and Lyudmila, who were guests of the hotel on my booking: It's a beautiful area with plenty of places to go for a walk. Attentive, polite and responsive staff - not a single request of ours was left unresolved. Varied food in the restaurant, we also enjoyed dinner in the tavern - it was an opportunity to get acquainted with greek cuisine (dinner must be booked in advance). We had the best holiday experience - we want to come back next year.
I have travelled most of my life and I was just blown away by the hospitality of the owner and her daughter. The hotel is directly across from the ocean so I could have breakfast and watch my kids swim. Nothing was too much trouble and the situation is perfectly placed. My young kids were always getting a ice cream or a hug and it just felt like we were home. It is by far the most amazing holiday experience we have had and we have traveled all over the world.
- new and comfortable big room with sea view (superior room with sea view - others in the backyard do not have a great view)
- ladies serving breakfast are very nice and make sure you feel comfortable
- good position to visit Rhodes since rather in the middle of the island which is quite big (of course you need a car)
- swimming pool (we did not use it but looked very clean)
- Stegna and Archangelos villages are not far for dinner
The hotel was directly opposite the beach, next to a supermarket and lots of good restaurants. It has one of the few pools in Stegna which made a nice change from the beach. Very quiet and relaxing. Rooms seem to have been newly decorated and were very clean with frequent towel changes. The owners were very friendly and helpful and sorted any issues - which weren’t many- straight away.
Great hotel in a very very quiet area in Stegna beach.
The room was very good and the bed comfortable, super clean with everyday cleaning, bathroom is big with shower cabin.
Wifi at room is always strong and with fast speed.
We had very nice breakfast with everyday something different for us!!
The owner and the staff was always there to help and fulfill our needs.
Perfect property, very good location very spacious and clean air con in rooms was very efficient! The hosts were excellent, we have very little notice of our arrival (1 hour from booking to our arrival)because we’d been evacuated from our hotel because of the fires! The hosts were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us! We will definitely return
We stayed in Loft room. Apartment have huge terrace, equpiment was just as in description and the hosts are super friendly and open to help. Sunset apartments have beatiful pool with a place to relax under trees. Definately recommend to stay there. Archangelos is a small city/village with few restaurants and lovely tiny streets.
The family who run the hotel were very friendly. They treated me like one of their own. They also have a small grill / bar a few minutes walk away with access to the beach and sun loungers. They made me feel very welcome there too.
Breakfast is perfect, view is great, beach is nearby. The family who owns the place are nice and welcoming people. Note, since the hotel located some 45m above the sea level, make sure to go there by car or just enjoy the exercise.
day of arrival was so welcoming and easy. the hotel was value for money and it’s a family run business and the whole family made our stay even better. can’t wait to go back and see them all again. keep up the good work guys.
Traditional greek breakfast including yoghurt, ham, cheese and real jams made by host. Personel was lovely and hotel was full of amazing flora. Recommend for those who want to be close to the greek culture and nature.
Very nice small hotel. Dimitri the owner is very friendly and helpful
Very simple breakfast of boiled eggs ham and cheese with local bread.
Rooms very basic but comfortable, all in all would happily stay here again..
We stayed with our dog, real pet-friendly hotel! Meals are delicious, staff and the owner of the hotel were friendly! And the location was perfect! Highly recommended!
