I take it as one of the most beautiful beaches.
I take it as one of the most beautiful beaches. Beautiful sunsets. Clear transparent sea. Turquoise colours melting into the big blue. Golden sand with shades of red when sea allows it, bringing it with waves at certain times, we were lucky to witness it. Glorious sunsets at this westerly point Clean, simple low development area yet all you need is on hand. A refreshing break from the full on holiday park of the North Coast We only stayed a couple of days so little time to explore but would return to this area if in Crete again. The sea here is astonishing - really clear turquoise water. There is a busy section of beach but you can find quieter places North of Big Beach. The sunsets are incredible. It is cooler than other parts of Crete due to the wind. the sea is colder here too. There are amazing tavernas in the nearby town on top of the the hill.

Hotel is situated nearby beach (the closest apx 50m, larger one to the left apx 200m, for parents with babies on the right side apx 100m), at every beach sets with umbrellas and two seats per 8euro per day, with showers. On the ground floor of hotel is big restaurant, small shop with everything. Against hotel is ATM. Parking no problem, by hotel. Surroundings of hotel is amazing, it was our third accomodation at Crete, and views were beautiful and breathtaking - important - to have a room at upper levels of hotel!

The infinity pool and deck are stunning, with a perfect view for sunsets. Market, taverns are within easy reach, a really pleasant buffet at sea-shore with a lovely owner lady, everything is ready to hand. Greek dishes are fantastic, delicious breakfast is optional, but as for me, it is worth the price. Falasarna beach and sunsets are above all!

We loved the lush vegetation, breakfast terrace and the cute kittens. We did not have a car and they were so kind to bring us down to the beach and pick us up even though the hotel was busy. And they even helped me get back a ring I dropped in the bathroom sink. The rooms are cosy and sparkling clean and have everything you need. The owners live on the premises and they make themselves available 24/7. There was a problem with the air conditioning but they fixed it half a day after I reported it (very quickly, if you ask me). Excellent location, 2 minutes walk from the grocery store and 10 minutes walk from the beautiful Falassarna beach. Many taverns nearby. The owners also sell honey, wine and olive oil of their own production, but I haven't tried them.
