Great hotel run by a great and very friendly family. Also a great pool with clean water with a good temperature and more than enough sunbeds available.
The pool bar was very pleasant and has good snacks and beverages. In the evening even cocktails were available.
Extremely kind staff was always ready to help with anything you asked.

We just had an awesome stay at Zorbas hotel. The owners were so friendly, nothing was too much. They even checked us in at 3 in the morning because we arrived by ferry after our flight got changed.
The room was small, but that didn't matter much as most of the time we were outside. The room was very clean, got cleaned daily. Clean towels every other day. We had a room with a lovely view over Pythagoreio. We had breakfast a few times and that was good and filled us up till lunch. A good variety of food with coffee/ tea and juice.
The living room has lots of books and some magazines in a variety of languages.
Pythagoreio is a picturesque place to stay for several days or a week. We rented a car for 3 days and saw lots of other places in Samos, Pythagoreio was our favourite. There are several beaches, 2 of them have mainly sand and some pebbles.
If we ever go to Samos again we would definitely stay here. I can highly recommend Zorbas hotel.
Doryssa Lithos Hotel features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a terrace and bar in Pythagoreio. With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel offers room service and a concierge service.

Staff were exceptional... I arrived after a long day of travelling very tired and left my phone in the taxi. Vasili phoned around to locate it and had it back to me in 15min. Maria sorted an upgraded room issue as soon as she was aware of the mix-up, not their fault, I might add. All the other staff were very friendly and helpful too. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the sea view is lovely. A short walk into town, although there is a hill to walk up on the way back, I didn't mind this at all.Thank you, Maria and team!

Small and peaceful village for those seeking for peace and relaxation. All the restaurants are near, you don't need the car unless you want to explore other villages and towns. Nice pebble beach with shallow water. Heraion was within walking distance from Ireon and is a must-see, if you are interested in history. From Heraion it wasn't too long way by foot to Pythagorion, about one hour walk (but after exploring Heraion and Pythagorion we came back to Ireon by taxi, which cost 13 euros). In Pythagorion you can find souvenirs and shops and it also has beautiful, authentic alleys. From Pythagorion you can take boat trips to other towns or Turkey. In Ireon there are just a few mini markets, a pharmacy etc. so if you want to buy clothes or souvenirs (other than postcards or something like that) you have to go to Pythagorion or somewhere else. Best restaurants: Akrogiali, Venetia and Cafe and Bar Idyli (the beach bar).

It's not convinient for young couples, because there are mostly old tourists from Germany or Holland. So it is a very quiet place. And the most famous restaurant there ; To Kyma turned out to be a failure, because the food was over salty.
