Studios Betty
Small excursion alone with my daughters. Looking for somewhere safe to stay. Unfamiliar with different areas. Did not plan on renting a car. Stumbled upon Studios Betty on Booking.com
Arrived at a small, cozy, exclusive little town where the apartment was. Was met by Vasili, who helped carry our bags a little further up the road where cars did not pass. We were on the second floor. There was a bedroom with a queen bed and a single bed in the open kitchen area. There was a bathroom with a shower. Nice hot water and water pressure. Quaint little apartment in the heart of this little town. Then we opened the kitchen door onto the giant balcony, which had a table with a nice, large sitting area and a SPECTACULAR view. Wow! We were all speechless.
The wifi provided in the room was excellent if needed.
When they say don't think about it, book this place for the view they mean it. Beautiful sunset views like private balcony seating at a grand show. A picture is worth a thousand views. In the am, the balcony has ample sunlight for morning coffee before going out to start your day. Air-conditioned beautifully if needed.
There were many restaurants and shops accessible by foot. The houses were all white, and the area felt very safe and clean. At night there was a nice breeze from being up at a higher altitude, and there was a pleasant buzz of small groups of people and live music. The apartment is close to little cafes, cozy bars, small jewelry shops, clothing shops, and rooftop lounges. Restaurants had a large variety from crepes, classic Greek food, souvlaki, seafood tavern, breakfast, ice cream shop, cafes, modern cuisine, fusion, outdoor seating, and rooftop seating.
Initially, the walk down to the bus seemed a bit long. Taxi fare to the beaches would have cost appx 20-40 euro each way, so I decided to rent a car. There was limited parking up top in the village, but a free parking lot at the base with a short (but slightly steep) walk up.
Arethousa is located in Plaka Milou. It offers rooms that open to a balcony with village views. Each room here will provide you with a TV and air conditioning.

They understand travellers needs....a little clothes line in the verandah, cutlery and plate with the kettle and cups, lots of hooks, face washes and tissues. A little respite in a long trip. Also a lovely gift of a delicious breakfast.
Featuring a garden, Drougas' Windmill offers apartments with a patio overlooking the sea, mountains and island of Milos. A sun terrace with outdoor furniture, sunbeds and umbrellas is offered.

This is one of the favorite places that we have stayed. Wonderful views of the water and the sunrise, lots of outdoor space to relax and thoughful little touches from the host. If we're in the Aegean again, we would definitely return.

The place is absolutely stunning, with sunsets “better than Santorini,” as one local told me, but all to yourselves. The setting is unreal. Fragkoulis, who runs the hotel, is incredibly helpful and assisted us with anything we needed. He has done a great job restoring the old house, with lots of traditional touches and keeping some of the original furniture, but also with great modern upgrades, like a beautiful bathroom and a nice kitchen.
Located in Plaka Milou and within a 14-minute walk of Klima Beach, Niove Suites Milos has a terrace, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. Made our stay in Milos even better. Antonia our host was the best. She helped us organizing our day trips and helped us with everything we needed including reservations. We recommend to stay here 100%.

Nice to be in a location with some restaurants/bar, lots of shops, incredible views and lots of friendly cats! Safe area and free public parking lot a 10-15 min walk from most places in the Plaka. Overall seems much less crowded and crazy than Adamas Port area. Some small museums in the town. As Plaka is higher up on the island, be prepared for walking inclines/declines and some stairs depending on your route. Limited car parking up close to restaurants and some of the rental accommodations, so something to consider if you have difficulty with mobility. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this area again.

Excellent location in Placka.
Excellent location in Placka. The host Stelios really care about the clients and he is used to provide very useful information about restaurants and beaches in Milos and other islands. The studio was amazing with an excellent view. I suggest all future visitors of Milos to stay in the old village of Placka and book a room at Halara Studios.

Magnificent view from the terrace of the countryside below Plaka, parts of the Milos bay and the windmills of Trypiti. On foot you can reach the old core with its beautiful Cycladic architecture in a few minutes or the ancient theater in half an hour. Don't miss the sunset from the Kastro! Our host Dimitris was incredibly helpful, in case of technical problems (Wi-Fi) immediately on the spot and had many good tips for restaurants, beaches and other destinations. On request, our apartment would have been cleaned even daily, which we did not find necessary.

Plaka is a small village but definitely the best place to stay on Milos due to the village being quite lively at night. I recommend a car for the island anyways so you might as well stay in that village and get a great view. The village is also central enough to the main attractions that if you want to hike directly from there to the port city or the beaches (Plathiena) or fish village (Klima) you will have a nice good hike. The prices are more expensive there so go eat elsewhere. The Utopian Café is worth it, though you can see the beautiful sunset from so many places. Do not go to the only café/bakery near the center - it's overpriced. Go to Adamantas - the port town - better prices for better quality.

This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly.
This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly. There are restaurants nearby.some a bit pretentious. We used a local taxi to take us around and to leave on the ferry
Incoming was difficult as l ferry was two hours late. Nothing at ferry terminal. Best to walk to entry to port where there are more.
No nearby local shops.
Excellent archaeology including the spot where Venus de Milo was found.

Plaka was the perfect little village to stay in.
Plaka was the perfect little village to stay in. At night they block off car traffic and so pedestrians can walk freely from restaurants to shops to bars, etc. So cozy and lots of dining options. Central to the whole island.
Great location to the Plaka, just a few minutes walk. Friendly family owned hotel and bakery downstairs. Comfy rooms, great AC and the room had a balcony with a fridge and a complimentary bottle of water and tea was also provided. Plaka was my favorite village and much preferable to other areas where people stay such as sleepy Pollonia and busy Adematas. Adematas would be my second favortite location, but really Plaka is where it's at. Despite a Greek dancing festival that could be heard from outside, I could not hear anything in my room.
We had a great stay at this hotel. Clean room, friendly staff. Old style, high ceiling room provided an authentic experience. We would recommend to get the breakfast which is served in the patiserrie downstairs, and definitely try the homemade pies, it was delicious and filling. The location is ideal, next to the bus stop and walking distance to pretty town Plaka. We would definitely stay here again.
Liked how it was on top of a hill and in an outside town. The Town had it's own restaurants and stores that we could walk to. The staff was very friendly. They made all accomodations including bring breakfast at different times each day. They also were kind enough to hold our luggage til the afternoon when we had our flight. The food was good. They even serve drinks to the room or pool.
Fantastic Property in a Fantastic Location. We spent five nights - and didn't want to leave. This is more of a typical airbnb style accomodation fully equipped with small kitchen vs a hotel with staff and breakfast. Amazing deck overlooking the bay with perfect sunset views. the unit is nestled among the narrow pathways of Plaka and you are neighbors with locals vs in a hotel row.
This place is great, it had a washing machine/some facilities for cooking which was amazing! Also one of the better showers during our stay in Greece. Moschoula would also bring baking every morning which was so kind of her 😊 we were also able to store our luggage until our ferry which was later in the evening! Loved the late check out time of 12pm 😊
I liked the location of the hotel. It was just a few steps from cafes, restaurants and shops in Plaka. The hosts were very accommodating as our ferry was over 2 hours later than expected. The hosts communicated great and gave us a ton of recommendations for all over the island.
Aris was an exceptional host, providing us with the information we needed to see the sights in Milos. He was invaluable in assisting us with required covid testing. Our apartment was perfect, the best we've had in three weeks on greece. Highly recommend vivere a plaka.
The host was incredible! So friendly and helpful. She left us sweets on our doorstep every morning and helped me figure out an ATV booking when I was struggling to connect with an agency from overseas. A truly amazing and affordable spot in Milos!
Everything about this hotel was amazing. Made our stay in Milos even better. Antonia our host was the best. She helped us organizing our day trips and helped us with everything we needed including reservations. We recommend to stay here 100%.
Really comfortable and spacious. Fantastic views from the terrace up to the kastro and sea. Apartment cleaned every 2 days with changes of all beds, towels and bins. Staff at Athena travel were very helpful about booking tours and a car.
This is a once in a lifetime booking. The location is the best in Milos, at the top of the hill in Plaka. The place is spacious with a fully stocked kitchen. We absolutely loved it here!
Beyond a great sized venue that was centrally located, the host shipped items we left behind to our next destination in Athens. He went over and above the "Call of duty" with that gesture.
Thodoris, the hotel's manager, and his team are a great complement to this hotel. They were always there to provide tips and tricks and support us with our inquiries. Great job!
This is a beautiful place and very unique. A highlight of our two weeks in Greece. When we were stranded by a transportation strike, they kindly let us stay an extra night.
