Everywhere, the villas, the pool area and the whole site was spotlessly clean. The host was helpful without being overbearing. It was only a short walk to the bakery, a little supermarket and a good choice of bars and restaurants. The Troulos beach is nice, with a few restaurants but we also liked Maratha beach which was a bit quieter.

We were collected at Skiathos Port by a member of the Avaton staff by a private transfer who was very kind and helpful - taking our bags and driving us to Avaton Hotel, Suites and Villas. Upon arriving at the hotel the reception staff were very welcoming and took the care in explaining all that we needed to know.
We were then showed to our room which was absolutely exceptional - a hot tub on the balcony and a bottle of wine on the house! The rooms are very spacious, immaculately cleaned and the beds are HUGE and very comfy.
Dinner at the Black Pepper was outstanding with special thanks to Tre and his team. He is an incredible asset to Philian Hotels and Resorts and we were so pleased to see him after visiting last year.

Trolous is a very nice village on Skiathos Island. It has everything you need for a family vacation, from shops to taverns. The beach is absolutely perfect for children. You can rent sunbeds or stay on a towel. You can also have a little bit of snorkeling in the water (there are some interesting fish in there). I have stayed in Skiathos for two weeks and for a family(including small children) point of view, Trolous beach was second best on the island after Koukounaries beach.IonutRomania - 10Scored 10

Troulos beach has a great blend of having a beautiful beach with fantastic views to rocky surround, it has a small watersports offering complete with a couple of tavernas to ensure you have all you need without it being overcrowded or busy.

It is a beautiful resort although it didn't feel like a resort it was more like lovely authentic Greek haven. The local bus is brilliant it runs from one end of the island to the other, troulos was bus stop 20, it came every 15mins and only cost us €2 each to go into skiathos town which took about 20/25 mins on a clean air conditioned bus. We spent a lot of tine at Troulos Taverna on the beach front, Costa, Nikos and all of the staff were always welcoming, the food at anytime of day amazing, there ate so many places to eat in the area you would never run out of choice.

Unfortunately we were there when we had the terrible floods and actually only had a couple of days to enjoy the sun. The hotel was fabulous, could not do enough for their guests and kept us fed and watered during this terrible time. Our safety was paramount. I have given 10/10, not for the weather of course but the hotel is fabulous and all the staff are amazing. The oregano restaurant is also an excellent restaurant, food and service are exceptional. We went end of June/early July and it may be busier during school holidays. The staff are fantastic, really friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculate (we had a 2 bedroom room which was a really good size). Breakfast was lovely with a good variety every day. Great location close to the beach, just a short walk. It has 3 large double or twin rooms (2 with sea views). The living area is a quite large comprising of lounge/dining/ kitchen area. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and a proper oven and hob for those who like to cook.
