Vari is a nice bay to relax and enjoy the wonderful weather and food. It is small, and I was impressed by the fact that the beach was adapted for the handicapped - so they can enjoy bathing in the sea as well! I ate at the hotel and at nearby restaurants, with the staff being very friendly in both places, and the food very good.

Fantastic beach. Wonderful soundscape -- wind in the old pine trees, bells, birds. Amazing food -- even for Greece, the quality was just out-of-this-world. Really uncrowded, too, though we were visiting during high season. Beyond Vari, we loved Ermoupoli, which is only 5-10 minutes away -- with its wonderful shops (Sandalia, Kritsinas George), restaurants (Seminario), cultural spaces (the Archaeological Museum!) & coffee (Plastico!).

It has a clean beach, 3 restaurants on the beach, a beach bar, 2 mini markets, nice beach view, calm waters. You can stay all day long, every day, and whenever you get bored (because you will), the rest of the island is 10-20 minutes away. Vari is in the middle of every destination.

Vari is a small beach with two restaurants and three cafe's/bars and two convenience stores. It is about 15 minutes from Ermopolis and has a bus stop with regular bus service. The beach is protected from the north-east winds and has excellent clear water. Vari beach is popular with families.

Great little beach town. Not too big, not too small, several small areas to find a bite to eat or a cold beer. Bus service was simple and convenient. Take to downtown was also very reasonable at just 11 EUR.

Loved everything about this hotel!stayed here for 4 nights. Firstly I was treated to a free upgrade to a sea view which was a lovely surprise! the hotel is directly across from Vari beach and so the view is spectacular, waking up to the beautiful turquoise colours of the sea was very refreshing! The location is superb, not only direct access to the beach but restaurants, cafes across the road and the bus stop is a 2 mins walk to take you into main town Ermoupolis.There is also an ATM conveniently downstairs from the hotel. The breakfast was great value with a variety of continental breakfast options with tastes of Greek cheese pies and local honey. The breakfast is located at the hotel’s restaurant opposite the hotel where you are literally on the water looking out at the stunning sea and lovely collection of fi shing boats. The room was very spacious and I appreciated the level of thought and simplicity of the furnishings for example the crotchet hanging bags in the bathroom so you can pop your toiletries in. -( brilliant idea I’m saving for my own bathroom)You can tell the owners have an eye for detail. The room was super clean with clean towels and sheets every day. But the real difference for me was the staff! Alexandros was outstanding! I would hear him greet every guest by their first name with such a calm and genuine nature, nothing was ever too much trouble for him! I should know- my phone suddenly one afternoon stopped charging and I couldn’t figure out why and so I ran downstairs hoping someone could help. Alexandros not only found that it was due my European adapter not working anymore he actually let me borrow his iPhone charger for the rest of my stay! Many many thanks Alexi! I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Syros you will not be disappointed!
