The location and price cost ratio is really good. The bed and room was comfortable. We liked the view to the lake and it is possible to use the pool of two other hotels that are located at the other side of the street! Really cool!

The location is great because it is quiet, unlike many hotels in Flores. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable
The lobby has been renovated and is very nice. Hopefully the rooms will get updated too. There's nothing wrong, but they could use a re-paint, new furniture etc. Air-conditioning works well, wifi is excellent. Sheets and towels were clean.

Beautiful little island, very lively!
Beautiful little island, very lively!
The bright colors of the building and the nice sunset views by the water are a great + to this place, and it is very easy to get around
I recommend trying out the street food @tacospeches, very good and super cheap
The town is located 1h30 drive from the ruins of Tikal, and up to 6 shuttles leave daily to get you there
Would recommend around 3 days in Flores!

The island has really noce restaurants and night activities.
The island has really noce restaurants and night activities. it is really easy to get around and people is willing to help you with directions.
Prices are much higher on the island, so is better to buy the stuff you need (sun block for example) outside of Flores.
We had a local guide that took us for the sunrise on tikal were you get to enter the park at 4AM and walk in the jungle still at night.
Then we did the sunset in Yaxha which is amazing.
Flores is a 10 min drive from the airport, so its a really good point for staying.

Loved the walk around Flores and all the little shops.
Loved the walk around Flores and all the little shops. Great ice cream place on lakeshore. Yummy !
When we got tired from walking after 5 miles that day( not all there) we hired a tuk tuk to bring us back to the hotel. Will definitely be returning there for a longer stay.
Boat tours looked interesting for a future adventure.
We drove and had to get used to the one way streets to get around Flores and find our hotel but so worth the effort. Parking was not an issue though. We parked at hotel and took off on foot

Airlines are a mess.
Airlines are a mess. Avianca overbooked my flight into Flores and was booked the next day. Tag Airlines delayed 2 hours and 15 minutes my flight into Guatemala City. I have been seating at the airport in Flores over 4 hours and I am expected to get to Guatemala City around 0:30 Am (I was supposed to arrive at 10:15 pm)

The island of flores is small and easy to walk. sunset views...
The island of flores is small and easy to walk. sunset views are very good from rooftop bars / restaurants. All are within 5 -10 minute walk.
We chose to take a lake ride to El Mirador and then to the beach Playa Chechenal.
Many sites are available to take day trips .These can be very long days especially to Tikal. We went to Tikal independently and it is highly recommended. I would recommend at least 1 night if not two.
We stayed inside the park at Tikal Inn. It has air conditioning and a swimming pool , we were very pleased and staff is great.
We booked it in emergency at around 6pm because a friend was coming to Flores by bus and she arrived at 1am so we couldn’t go back to El Remate : the reception was really flexible and comprehensive and the clerk was really kind and helpful when we had to organize her arrival to the hotel as the neighborhood is not really safe to walk around at night. He called a taxi for her and we were really thankful for his help.
Also : awesome sunrise from our window in room 302 !
The hotel is not on the island of Flores, but it’s only a 10 minute walk to the island. It’s also only about 5 minutes away from the airport by taxi, which is great!
(For a great taxi use Oscar. He’s on WhatsApp + 502 40205815 —sometimes he’ll send an associate. He has great/fair prices). The hotel is also close to a supermarket and atm and the best taco place in all of Guatemala is across the street.
We definitely took advantage of the pool since it was so hot!
Communications setting up the shuttle with the hotel were excellent, that foretold the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. This is by far one of the best hotels on the island. Their sister hotel is the ONLY hotel allowed IN Tikal, it is AMAZING! The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The location is perfect, just West of the top of the hill that holds the Church (the center of the island).
The hotel and its location are unique for those seeking tranquility in a beautiful and secluded place that is not captured by the great hustle and bustle of Flores or Tikal. The entire complex with its bungalows and houses is excellently maintained and tastefully decorated. From the balconies one has a view of the lakes. Due to the seclusion, it is not only very quiet at night, but also so dark that the place is ideal for observing the night sky.
Great location, hidden away in the forest. Big room with great views from the large balcony. Very efficient ferry service from hotel to Flores Island. The staff were all friendly. The airport transfers went very smoothly. The two staff members on reception (Brayam? and Danila?) were both very helpful when we had a problem with a cancelled flight and a lost phone. They also helped us book a good trip to Tikal.
The location is great because it is quiet, unlike many hotels in Flores. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable

this was probably the best hostel I've stayed at in Central America. the place is spotless, super comfy room with a nice bathroom and hot shower. there is also AC which helps during hot nights.
the staff are very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend.
Great location with wonderful lake views on the island of Flores from many rooms and from the third floor balcony. Terrifically hot showers and clean rooms. Surprisingly quiet and peaceful compared to other hotels around Flores (of which I have stayed at many).
The hotel is located right in Flores Island, close to everything you need: Transportation, good Restaurants and stores. At the entrance looks like a normal cheap hotel, but when you go inside to the room, it is amazing and the views of the lake is incredible!!
The location is amazing, very peaceful next to the water and just 5 min away from the more busy Flores. You can swim in front of the pier.
Kevin is the best! he always picked us up with his boat.
Staff is very nice and friendly
I am so glad my child was not exposed in this hotel to the kind of party animal travelers that I witnessed in the more hip area of Flores! It was nice being able to control our own air conditioning. The owners are very nice.
Top accommodation in the heart of Flores! The owner José is the best! Breakfast is delicious, rooms are big and clean. WiFi is super good, beds are comfortable and the courtyard garden is beautiful. Thanks for everything José.
The views from the hotel are amazing, it is easy to get boats to and from Flores. The people working in the hotel are very helpful and they really care about making you have the best time. It is really a nice place to stay.
excellent all round, service impeccable and fab staff! The museum is a must see, one of the best private collections of Mayan history. We stayed in some of the best hotels in Guatemala and this was our favourite.
Quaint hotel very close to Flores Island! Front desk girl desk girl Shirley (I believe that was her name) was incredibly helpful! The hotel has a very nice ambiance and good food at the restaurant!
The room was spacious; clean and smelled very good.
The bed was a bit hard but comfortable!
The best part of the hotel are the terrasse with view to the lake and the patio with a very chill vibes!!
Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff, cute cat Michi, they book your Tikal tours/shuttles with the best agency in Flores, nice terrace right on the lake.
Staff was very friendly, attentive and accommodating.
The lake view room had a great view of the sunset.
Breakfast in front of lake Peten Itza was spectacular.
Good hotel in the center of the small island of Flores, right next to a dock for small boats to take you across the water.
Clean and good value for money.
