Lovely place. We stayed 2 nights. Beaches beautiful for spotting turtles however still much rubbish which is very sad. Colours weee incredible of the sea and neighbouring Lombok. We did not like the horse and carts on the island. Horses are small and looked not very well and pulled heavy, fat tourists with all their luggage. Cruel. We enjoyed riding our bikes around the island.

In all honesty, it wasn’t a terrible place but it was not the best part of our vacation. The ferries (fast boat) there and back to Bali were an actual nightmare, with waves as tall as the boat and so much seasickness. On the island the food was ok, but not a huge amount of good choices. The people on the island were lovely, but a little bit pushy to come to their restaurants / do their activities, which got annoying after a while. The Gili islands are Muslim communities, so bear this in mind, as the call to prayer woke us up every morning at 4am, and as it was Ramadan, the prayer was on speaker phone to the whole island from 9pm until 4am. We could not sleep. Also if it rains, there is isn’t a huge amount to do and your feet will get wet and muddy in all the puddles. I loved my time at Gili air Magical island I just wanted to relax and that’s exactly what I did I really loved the snorkeling Bike riding and slow pace of life There was every you need I could have stayed longer and I had 8 nights Stayed at chill out bungalows and would not recommend Stayed at pink coco and loved it Really enjoyed staying sunset side of the island More relaxed and every where so close if you wanted to go Mowie was a great place to eat and chill watch the sunset Pink coco also great food and atmosphere Amazing for sunset H20 yoga was awesome 🤩 Massage s great where ever I went

Loved Gili Air, easy to walk around, great snorkling, good boat trips. Street sellers get annoying and the ferry over and back was always late and when I checked too much later, they had charged me double so keep an eye out! . But, to stay on island is really cheap, lots of vegan options and people are really friendly and helpful. Sun rise and sunset are beautiful! Take beach shoes as coral everywhere on the beach and painful to walk on. Hiring snorkel is cheap. It’s sad they are not educating tourists as I saw people standing on what is left of the coral in their flippers and had to stop one woman upturning a turtle in the sea! There are huge areas where the coral Is completely dead from people walking out to the boats, they need to address this before all the coral is destroyed 😢 it is a beautiful island and hopefully they will understand and save it! If you book a horse riding trip on the beach, go and check out the horses first. The one I went to, the horses were kept in appalling conditions and were thin and unhealthy looking so I didn’t go, although I did see some around that looked healthy but I don’t know where they were based. The one near my accommodation was dreadful. I would definitely return as loved my time there. As a single woman I felt completely safe wandering around on my own. Make sure you sit at one of the many places that do outdoor cinema, it’s great!!kimUnited Kingdom

Saying it was the app booking fault, even if they confirmed our stay by message 2 days before our arrival… We had to find a new hotel last minute after 4 hours of transportation (taxi and boat), we were exhausted. Fortunately 2 young boys from the staff helped us with our bags and we found a better hotel, closer to Gili Air restaurants and center. Be careful when you book with them, they might overbook the hotel and cancel on you when you get there.cecileCanada

Most of all the staff were so friendly and helpful. One staff member in particular went out of his way to find us a boat and car to take us to the airport at a very early hour, and made sure we were ok to get there in the dark by personally taking us to the port. We could not have made this work without him and are extremely grateful for his help. We look forward to coming back, and recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Gili Air!

Room is big enough, bed is comfortable and AC works well. The exeptionally friendly staff gave me a bicycle to explore the land and mask and finns to explore the water. Restaurant was good too, there's an amazing sitting area at the beach. When I was about to leave, the friendly lady at the reception suggested that I take the bike and just leave it at the harbour. Location is fine, just a 10 or so minute walk to the “main street”, although there are still warungs and markets and laundry and bike rental all around Beranda. It doesn’t really matter where you stay on Gili air if you have a bike since it’s so small.
