Gopalpore is quite apart from the India of cultural spectacles (temples, performances) and foodie jaunts. The energy comes from the rhythms of the ocean. It is vast and kind. Gopalpore asks you to get into the water and sun, gives you an appetite for simple local fare and let’s you see locals doing their holiday, fishing or village routine. Considering the distance of Gopalpur from Bhubaneshwar and the properties around I would not be in favour of going back. The beach near Swosti was good and less crowded, it was just next to Mayfair Gopalpur. The only good property in Gopalpur is Mayfair so its kind of monopoly and pretty high on the prices. The other properties are all average and very limited. So though the beach is better than Puri, the properties are not. It is in close proximity to Behrampur if you want to explore some good local food options.ipsitasarkarIndia - 8.0Scored 8.0

Gopalpur is a serene and tidy beach with much hustle bustle in the evening. However,I found the stall sea shell fast food serving stale food and food prepared in the most unhygienic manner. The cooks chew some gutkha which also surely finds place in the food for sure.
