Amazing place to stay. We weren´t sure about accomodation with shared bathroom but finally it was completetly OK. There are 3 bathrooms, 2 showers for 5 rooms I guess, so you do not have to be afraid that you will wait a long time for using bathroom. Owner was super helpful, nice and keys were prepared behind the door once we arrived with number of our room and our name on it.
Breakfast was in home style well-prepared with everything you need for the morning. On each table was a coffe, you could prepare tea.
Outside is amazing view to the valley and due to kind of loneliness this farm, this is one of the best place in Iceland, to be and see the Northern Lights.
Hot tub is ready for use all day and night (no added expenses).
Kitchen is very well equiped. We didn´t need that but there is also washing machine.
Location is very strategic for the Silver Circle and Húsafell hikes.
Definitely when we will come back to Iceland we will come back to here.
Thanks!

Though I didn’t meet them in person, the accommodation owners were very helpful when my son realised he had left his smartwatch in the cottage. They located the watch and took the time to post it back to the UK whereupon we refunded the postage cost. Very helpful and much appreciated by my 14 year old!

When we came to the breakfast room, a fire was on in the fireplace in the middle of the room. This was very nice and cosy. It was a very friendly and welcoming place. We felt that we came to a family place, including a very friendly and happy dog.
The owner was very helpful and gave good advice on what to visit in the neigbourhood and especially how, which was very useful information.

There are 2 Reyhkolts in Iceland and this is the more...
There are 2 Reyhkolts in Iceland and this is the more westerly one (the other is on the Golden Circle to the south). We visited Vidgelmir, the lava tube, and it was fabulous! It's cold inside so dress warmly. The guides were all geologists who specialize in this kind of formation and were knowledgeable about both geology and the history of the tube. Krauma geothermal baths and restaurant: the baths were expensive and we didn't go but the restaurant served great food (also expensive as is all food in Iceland).
Well maintained and updated farmhouse overlooking the valleys of Reykholt. Had a fun breakfast with the hostess/owner and other guests - chatting about our experiences and home countries. My room was charming and comfortable with farmhouse decor. Really appreciated the cluster of multiple bathrooms and showers for the guests. There is a hot tub on the balcony. Always enjoy seeing dogs on the premises.
The house is beautifully appointed. Beds are so comfortable and there is a hot tub and a sauna. You can make a great meal in the kitchen and the relax outside looking at an incredible view with a glass of wine. The perfect place to unwind. Excellent blinds for bright summer nights. Lots of great hiking and natural attractions to see. Recommend checking out the tours organized by Hotel Husafell
We found this guest house to be a genuine jewel in this part of iceland.
There is something quite special About this place it's set in a picturesque valley that oozes serenity.
We arrived frazzled from .missing a days holiday after s disastrous time at Schiphol airport, and this syay was just what we needed. It's minutes from the gorgeous Krauma thermal pools which we loved.
The cottage was lovely, warm and cosy, a perfect bolt hole from the Icelandic weather. The location was brilliant - wonderful views across the valley to the mountain ranges beyond. The host was very friendly and welcoming, even making time to show us the sheep and lambs!
Inga and Siggi were wonderful and welcoming and the house was like a 5-star hotel private property!!! I have stayed at many high-end hotels and this house exceeded them. The owners were accessible and checked in on us frequently to make sure we had whatever we needed.
The hot tub was such a great way to end the day of exploring the Icelandic countryside. The kitchen had everything we needed. The fireplace was cozy. The beds were dreamy. Truly the best place I have ever stayed. I wish we could have spent more time.
Everything! The rooms were clean and well appointed with comfortable beds, a desk with convenient outlets nearby. The location was quiet and quite scenic. And the breakfast was a wonderful opportunity to experience a typical Icelandic breakfast.
Great location, clean modern rooms, very friendly family that runs the hotel. Dinner was three courses and delicious. They have a small gift shop that sells locally produced items, including Icelandic sweaters knit by the family grandmas.
In one word..EVERYTHING! The house is amazing. A beautiful place to stay in a great location for exploring Iceland. The hosts were brilliant and have set the highest standard! It will be hard to find another place to match Holt Villa!
Adorable. Really loved it there. Don’t mind people saying it’s dirty, it’s really not, it’s just a very typical summer cottage in the countryside - they are popular in Iceland so come here for an authentic summer (or winter) night :)
The location of the hotel is quiet and nice. The views on the mountains and the river is great.
The setup of the hotel buildings is good.
The reception and breakfast area are nicely setup.
The main course (lamb) at the dinner they served was excellent. nice location and views of the surroundings. close to Hraunfossar waterfalls, one of the most beautiful in Iceland.
The Foss Hotel was fantastic for our needs and budget. The staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast delicious. The location fit right into our vacation plans. Thank you.
Fab hotel . Found hot springs nearby which was great. Happy hour at the bar was good and the restaurant fine
Didn't use the spa or the gym so can't comment. Would stay again
Gorgeous location and super helpful owner were the icing on top of a unique stay with views to the sky and wild Icelandic weather. I would highly recommend the property.
An excellent hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. A great restaurant. Beautiful surroundings. Take care to visit Hraunfossar waterfall and Krauma hot spring
