Excellent location, nice view, friendly owner, optimal kitchen stuff ,a lot of towels , coffee in the morning and a heater what you can turn on if its cold.
Even though there was heavy rain,we still enjoyed staying in Bellano. I really recommend to stay in this place instead of Varenna or Bellagio- we took a bus to Varenna, its easy. Everything is close- shop, station, kids playground and nice view!:)

Stayed here with my mum. The apartment was really spacious and clean. We arrived an hour earlier and the host was happy the let us in and had given us a complimentary bottle of wine and water.
The location is a short walk to the centre and 2 min from the waterfalls. It’s worth mentioning that the apartment had everything we needed- fridge, utensils, coffee, washing machine. The view from the balcony was stunning.

We really liked our host Enzo who picked us up from the station. The room was large and lovely and we had access to tea and coffee. The view of Lake Como from our outdoor area was stunning. We really like Bellano as it was a "real" town with a real community and not just about tourists. You can just hop on a ferry or train for a quick trip to anywhere around the lake.

Fabulous property and host! Giovanni went above and beyond to welcome us and answer any questions or concerns, both before our arrival and during our stay. The views of the lake are just stunning and we loved sitting out on our own private terrace with a glass of wine enjoying our surroundings. The location is quiet and secluded, but walkable to town, the ferry, and the train station. We were able rent a boat right in the town and enjoyed exploring the lake on our own. We also took the ferry to other towns on the lake and enjoyed the busier, more well known towns as well.

Beautiful Orrido and Cascata are two "must visits" in Bellano for ones loving nature. The SS36 motorway nearby makes your travel with car very easy alongside the whole Eastern part of the lake, meanwhile the rest of the roads along the lake can be full of traffic jams. This to be considered if you chose your location to sleep during the night but travel to explore different venues during the day.CsanádHungary - 10Scored 10

We would highly recommend staying in Bellano. It was convenient to other villages on the lake and we could be away from the crowds. It was a charming town with great restaurants. The ferry service was most convenient to Bellano. We were able to travel around the lake easily and looked forward to coming back to our bit of paradise in Bellano!Festa - 10Scored 10
Our group really liked Bellano.
Our group really liked Bellano. We were looking for a smaller town that was not over-commercialized or overrun with tourists, but not so small that there was nothing to do and the dining options were limited. In Bellano we found nice restaurants & we were particularly fond of the places adjacent to the water where we could dine and watch the lake traffic. The ferry schedule was a bit confusing but we figured it out spent some time on the water as well. In all, Bellano was what we were looking for and we were very happy with our choice. We would come back here again.

The host was also very welcoming, helpful, and easy to reach (we used the chat in bookings). Note that if you're exploring the lake, we found that Bellano makes a perfect base, as it's close to everything but out of the way, so it's not too busy. Also, Bellano itself has a very nice charm that makes it quite endearing. Be sure to check out the Pasticceria Lorla for great croissants - just a block away!

A short 10-minute walk into town, but be aware there are steep hills, cobbled paths and lots of stairs. The hosts were lovely and so hospitable, offering tips for exploring the area and quick to respond to any questions. Bellano is a great location to base yourself and explore Lake Como. It's not as busy with tourists, but just a quick ferry trip to all the other towns along the lake.

We were also happy with the service (e.g. garbage removal was sorted out for us). The view from the apparment and from a nearby church tarrace is amazing. The town is lovely and not as overrun by tourists as other locations on lake Como. I would come back to Bellano for sure!

Better if you have a car. Without a car you can walk down to the village on a beautiful but steep mountain track. Not suitable to carry suitcases up this track.
