The 1-man room was located on a beautiful terrace without any neighbours close by, maybe I was lucky with the booking. Staff was friendly, and all facilities had a nice aesthetic. Centrally located within the city.

The hotel is just across the road from Santa Maria Novella rail station so if, like us you got the train from the airport, you only have a very short walk to the hotel.
When we checked in the receptionist told us that she had given us really nice rooms. They were actually beyond our expectations. We had booked two rooms. One for us and the other for our friends. They were on the top floor, next door to each other, and the view was incredible. Most people go to Florence for the Duomo, and there it was. That and the beautiful hills that surround Florence. What could be better? Thank you so much for that. It was really appreciated.
In each room was a note from the hotel and some biscuits as a welcome to Florence. We thought this was a really nice touch.
The location couldn't be better. We easily walked to the Duomo and to both the Accademia and Uffizi galleries. There is also a bus that you can catch just around the corner that will take you there for a small charge. We paid 0.09€ on the day that we did use it.
The hotel bar is excellent. The negronis are the best and the prices are really fair.
Ahmed, the hotel barman, not only made us feel very welcome, he also gave us some excellent recommendations for places to eat, and even called them to book our table. The restaurants he recommended were superb. Not just the food, but the service and prices. Absolutely no complaints.
We did have the breakfast buffet at the hotel. We thought that it would have just been a continental breakfast, but there were bacon and scrabbled scrambled eggs, too. We really enjoyed it.
The day before we left, we returned to our rooms to find a little parting gift from the hotel. Again, it was a really nice touch and much appreciated
Throughout our stay, we noticed people dragging suitcases around, as you see in all tourist driven cities. On the day we left it was so nice to just take our bags across the street to the rail station and then onto the train back to the airport.

The hotel's location was perfect for us to enjoy the city. Our room was small, but that was expected. I think paying a little extra to have a room with a view facing the church was worth it. All of the staff were kind. Breakfast was a bit pricier compared to what we paid at other places, but it was good. We visited three other cities after leaving Florence, and this hotel turned out to be the best and our favorite during our trip to Italy!
