Gargazzone is a small town/village located on the bus route between Bolzano and Merano. Pension Sonnheim is just a few minutes from the bus stop which makes it convenient for those traveling via public transportation or visiting the cities since parking can be an issue in the larger cities. The pension had comfortable rooms with balconies and modern baths and the bonus of a swimming pool. The owners Robert and Verena were most helpful with directions and suggestions for the local sights and experiences. The apple orchards in the area were a bit of a surprise to us but made for lovely surroundings.

Well equipped. conveniently located charming house in a small authentic non-touristic local village among apple orchids. Very well kept, clean and tidy, and most of all: wonderful hosts. Eva and Adi were simply all you could ask for and much more. Lovely and welcoming and resourceful. The stay had a very pleasant feel to it and we decided to extend it after the first night and never regretted it. Highly recommended.

The staff were extremely friendly and personable. Starting with Beatrice before I arrive and connecting throughout my stay. The restaurant staff were super friendly, including Stella, Arta and Nikki. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking to relax and rejuvenate!
