We had a very nice 5 night stay at Il Vascello! The hotel is small, very clean and relaxing. Very nice and genuine people made our stay a 5 star! The hotel has a great restaurant that serves breakfast every morning and dinner at nights. We only had dinner there one night but it was delicious! It’s a few steps from the beautiful clear Adriatic Sea ( rocky side) and about 30 minute drive from beautiful sandy beaches( Ionian Sea).

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. It's a series of bungalows. Its fresh and lovely. The staff was welcoming and the food was so good we ate dinner there twice! It was a beautiful time of year to go, October. Note - they close October 4th for the season. Everything was clean and crisp and there was SO much room! The pool isn't heated so a little chilly for us but it was very pretty and laid out well. There's no gym. But we loved the bike riding on the coast and if you aren't "sporty" you can ride in your car. Take an excursion to Santa Maria Leuca by car or bike you won't regret it. And get gelato in Castro which is 5 minutes away. Breathtaking and welcoming.

 the hotel was clean and in nice shape I like that it had sensors to shut the lights off when they were not in use. I also liked that it had a gym and the staff was very attentive despite that I speak English and they spoke Italian.

Everything was comfortable, parking across the street seemed secure. Friendly staff, good continental breakfast provided. Associated restaurant across the street was good, too.

A broken bed and broken shower installation, neglected outdoor spaces, no TV and/or radio as in the description at the time, less surface area and, as a blow, no promised breakfast. We paid 1 night afterwards via a bank account number because the manager didn't show up. But in fact the manager did not want the payment by bank - only cash, for doubtful reasons. DO NOT BOOK THIS CHARLATANS!
