The staff was amazingly helpful, they helped us with ancillary activities and recommended the places to visit. Le vecchie Cantine itself is a wonderful place, in the heart of little Italian town Chianni where the time seems to stop... The room had beautiful arches and furniture seeming to date old times, but it was equipped with XXI century conveniences such as air conditioning. Perfect combination! The food was delicious and waiters helpful with making a choice from food and an extensive wine list. Fully recommend!

Agriturismo Pretenzano is a family-run establishment about a 15 minute drive from Volterra, which is a lovely historical town well-worth visiting. We were at the Agriturismo at the beginning of the off-season so did not make full use of the facilities, which include a swimming pool. The couple who runs Pretenzano is welcoming and amiable. The Agriturismo is away from the main road, down a long gravel driveway. The rooms are clean and comfortable, as is the bathroom. A superb breakfast is served in the morning, and it is included in the price. It includes great coffee, fruits, cheeses, meats and items baked by the family in the morning. The hospitality at this establishment was genuine. Dinner is not served on premises, but there are several nearby options with good food that do not require a trip back to Volterra.
Located 1.2 mi from Peccioli, the Podere Borgaruccio offers an outdoor pool, restaurant and garden. This working farm produces olive oil and Wine, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.

The staff was friendly, the food was reliably delicious, the products made on-site delicious, and the views absolutely blew us away. Plus there was plenty of activities to keep our family busy. It is also just a short drive to Peccioli, which is beautiful and bustling.

Roy was a great host before getting there and once I arrived. He was helpful and considerate and made himself available to answer questions. The apartment is right in the heart of Chianni and was very charming. Chianni is in a fantastic location to explore western Tuscany.
