Quiet rural location in historic buildings which are in the process of being tastefully done up. It's a family-run establishment and all were very friendly. Carola spoke excellent English and was especially helpful in booking us a restaurant in town on the evenings when we wanted a change from the excellent food at the hotel.
Boasting pool views, La Mela Di Venere features accommodation with an infinity pool, an open-air bath and free bikes, around 29 km from Cattedrale di Noto.

It’s a wonderful apartment, close to everything you need, but still in a quiet location. Parking nearby. Breakfast was in a lovely bakery/coffee shop nearby and was wonderful. The owners were very inviting and Palazzolo Acreide is a amazing place to visit.

Palazzolo Acreide is the right base to explore south-east Sicily; personally we rented a car and road-tripped almost every day to all the sights and destinations in an around the Valli Di Noto and Siracusa. Palazzolo on its own deserves a walking tour at the very least, if you are staying in town

A typical Sicilian small town, full of character and charming old narrow streets. Several good restaurants and cafes are available. Easily accessible by highway.
Only drawback, restaurants and shops close in afternoons.

Palazzolo Acreide is a quaint village, a short drive away from La Mela di Venere. We visited on a Saturday evening and there was a lovely atmosphere in the main square with musicians playing classical music whilst people soak up the atmosphere eating/drinking or just walking around. You definitely need a car to move around to the nearby villages as we never saw any public transport. Parking in all the villages in the area is easy and so is driving around Sicily.

The city boasts of the oldest carnival in Sicily.
The city boasts of the oldest carnival in Sicily. Whether that's correct or not doesn't really matter - it was a very nice experience to be out in the streets with the locals to admire the traditional flaots. The parade takes place on Fat Tuesday. We liked that it was local, low key, unpretentious and fun. We only stayed for that one night, and did limited sightseeing - we got a glimpse of the breathtaking vista of the valley, though. Another time, we could have come to admire the many churches of Palazzolo and its share of the barock architechture from after the 1693 earthquake.

The apartment was spotless... spacious lounge area... comfortable bed and pillows. Chiara answered all our questions promptly even though she lives in Malta. We were so happy to meet her parents and brother at the Nepeta cantina for an amaro tasting. Plenty of hot water and good pressure ( although the shower is tiny...) It was easy to park right near the apartment and easy to walk all around Palazzolo Acreide...we fell in love with Palazzo and hope to return some day. Grazie per tutto !
This boutique hotel is in the heart of the charming town. It has been painstakingly dressed with beautiful antiques and other items. The 5 star several course breakfast was personally prepared and presented. Each dish on each day was different, using different examples of porcelain and antique cutlery. Each was delicious. Sabri and Mario were entirely charming, and available on WhatsApp to answer questions or make bookings.
We loved it.
The house is next to the town of Palazzolo Acreide in calm and quite area. The main road to Siracusa is reachable very easily through the local road.
The house is fully independent, comfortable and has everything needed for a holiday stay.. The host was extremely kind and responsive. We felt as we are in our own house. Excellent place for family holiday.
This was our second stay. The location is perfect to explore Palazzolo Acreide on foot as it’s close to the main square but in a quieter street, but also so easy to come in and out of town with a car. The property is well maintained, the bed comfortable and there is everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The owners are super nice too!

Excellent location, very clean rooms and close to city centre, a garden and restaurants. The owner was very helpful when my mobile broke and he did his best to help us. We parked our car infront of the hotel and its a very safe area. Very quiet too.
