Breakfast was plentiful, with many breads and pastries, cheeses and sliced meats (like Italian lunchmeat/prosciutto). They also made fresh scrambled eggs every morning. Someone would come and take your coffee order and bring it to your table. They also offer dinner most nights but you have to schedule it with them. We didn't know about this and ate in town for dinner and there were VERY few places available--we ate at the same place twice. (But it was amazing and I recommend it--Ristorante Alla Fenice). At least that was the case in early October when we were there... post summer season. Beds were comfy and bathroom was spotless. The VIEW from the balconies off the rooms was gorgeous, looking over the town and the lake at the bottom and the mountains surrounding. There is a very easy walk around the lake and over the dam and back through the town which was beautiful. The town feels like a fairy land. Couldn't have been more pleased. We did the Tre Cime hike about 40 minutes away (and the most spectacular drive to get there!) and it was one of the most stunning hikes I have ever taken. The gal at the front desk of the hotel was very knowledgeable on the hikes and can help with planning. There is also a visitor's center in town and you can ask them questions and get maps.

Everyone at Hotel Da Marco was very friendly and extremely helpful. They welcomed us warmly and helped make sure our stay with them was the best part of our entire European trip! The hotel itself is beautiful with spectacular views. The food we enjoyed there was spectacular and obviously prepared with great care and affection. We cannot wait to go back!
