First -- this is a GREAT place to bring dogs; there is a trail from the hotel up a local wooded hill that my very nervous dogs find restful and, well, useful, which is rare for them on trips.
The room is wonderful, balcony and restaurant views spectacular. Comfy and quiet, very snug.

One of the nicest and most welcoming places we’ve ever stayed! Tiziana and her daughter Giorgia went out of there way to do everything to make this the perfect stay, including providing a well-stocked fridge on arrival. After a long journey through the mountains a cold beer was brilliant!

Beautiful location on lake and mountains with walkway around lake close by. Easy access to good Asian restaurants and cafes (Jonny's) train and Swiss border. Would book earlier to get better accommodation.

Beautiful border town with Switzerland. Plenty of restaurants, our favorite is Ristorante Dal Pescatore, directly on the lake front. Fantastic service and food. There are plenty of gelaterias and bars, try Johnny's. Plenty of nice walks and activities around the lake. We travel with our bikes and is ideal to get around.PhilSwitzerland

We booked the room with a lake view and were not dissappointed, The room was big and comfortable and the balcony was bigger than expected. But the real treat were the employees - seems like they realy enjoy what they are doing. The lady at the reception, I think her name was Rossalva, was kind and helpful with recomendations. The restaurant's stuff - Roberta, Abdel Jaber and Chef Moustafa (sorry if I mispelled) went out of their way for my sister and I to be happy.

Our quadruple room had a beautiful, large terrace overlooking the lake. The (very good) restaurant, bar and swimming pool have equally stunning views. Many activities nearby (if you have a car, reception kindly gives you a list of things to do: boat rides, beaches, markets etc.), friendly staff, 1h drive from the Gotthard tunnel. Excellent value for money, would definitely stay again!

Always when it is possible, we choose this place and in the future it will be the place for our gests, when I live in Lavena. We are especially grateful to the owners who took us to Porto Ceresio station because the public transport did not work. A small but extremely revealing gesture for the attitude towards the client, towards the business!

The self check in and check-out are very smooth and the communication with the host was also wonderful. We also got a PDF including all information we needed and recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing etc. which was very helpful! Moreover we were surprised by a bottle of Prosecco, a few drinks and Italian food.
