Ester and Dario were amazing hosts even coming to pick us up when we were stranded at train station. Showed us all the restaurants in area and sent us to our room with a bowl of blueberries. They were so kind!

Breathtaking views of the alps. Delicious and plentiful breakfast. Completely refurbished old school of the small village of Pianazzola. The B&B is an 8-minute drive up the mountain from Chiavenna. The host Andre is very attentive and provides helpful tips. The Skiarea Valchiavenna is a 45-minute drive away. Nice drive through the alps and easy to get to.

We spent 3 weeks traveling around the Dolomites and the fabulous Stelvio pass. Prata Camportaccio was our last stop before proceeding to the Italian Lakes. The town isn't a destination in itself but gives access to several passes and lots of mountains that are worth seeing. There are several decent restaurants in the area, at least one supermarket and nearby Chiavenna has lots of services.
