The main square was a pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by. There are plenty of decent shops, but lacking a good independent pasticceria. You can still buy pastries from cafes and one of the many supermarkets.
You won't be stuck for a decent pizzeria as there are several. Il Grottino and Spano's do a good take away as well as eating in. You can eat well in one of the many spaghetteria.
People are mainly friendly and helpful. Driving isn't difficult.
One of the best, tastiest meals we had was the street vendor near the tower: The Sunrise Street Food. You can sit outside and enjoy the view across a bay. The food is excellent!
Rubbish needs to be taken to one of the recycling points (behind the police station).
There's a very touristy looking restaurant overlooking the Rena Bianca beach, but it sells good gelati! Don't be put off.
The Rena Bianca beach is gorgeous. The water is so clear. I will definitely be going back.
Ooh yes, the highlight for my son was seeing a wild boar in town!

Public transportation, including ferry to Corsica was a good experience.
Good variety of restaurants, shops, cafes.. however if visiting during "off season" be flexible as not all of the regular facilities are open.
Town was friendly and people offered suggestions, and directions.which we appreciated.

I didn't find there was much to see/do, some restaurants/shops were close to the hotel. For me this was a stop over to wait out the ferry that did not sail to Corsica, my actual destination, due to the cyclone.
This would not be a location I would return to, except if I was getting the ferry again..

Room smallish but ample for a couple,. Bed very comfortable, view from room breathtaking. Contemporary deco was really lovely!
Breakfast varied, fresh and ample with gluten free options, staff lovely
Great local tips for restaurants
Nice extra touches (beach towels and beachbag!) Safe. Flexible check-in (it was low season so this might have helped)
Very friendly host. Room and bathroom were very modern and comfortable. Great Italian breakfast. Location at the road to Capo Testa, which is only a few minutes by car. Also the city center with many restaurants and cafes can be reached easily by foot from the B&B. Public parking available in front of the house and nearby streets.
Breakfast was great! The proximity to the beach is awesome. There is even a section with free chairs and umbrellas. Excellent location for the beach and the town. LOVED it. I highly recommend this hotel. I had dinner here, too. It was amazing as well with a phenomenal view. Staff is off the charts. LOVED everyone working here.
The location was excellent, 16 min walk to Port for boat tours to Maddelena islands and Bonifacio Corsica. The hotel was very clean, staff friendly , and had a great breakfast . Loved the hotel relaxed vibe and pool to unwind , also 2 mins from Rena Bianca Beach. Would go again if we go to Santa Teresa Gallura. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Although we had no language in common with the staff, they gave us an enthusiastic welcome that instantly made us feel at home-- like long-lost cousins. The room was everything we expected, and very quiet. The hotel was in a superb location, near to the town, the historic tower, and a fine beach-- and it has a great view.
The hotel location is very convenient. In the city center,
5min walk from the bus stop and the ferry.
The breakfast was great.
Paolo and the team were the best part of our stay.

Hotel and family staff were fantastic.
Nothing was a problem and Francesca even picked us up at the Port.
One of the most well maintained and clean, original hotel we've stayed at.
Very close to Town Square

A great space with very large outdoor deck. Modern and clean. Close to ferry port and a close distance to the center of town. It was perfect for a short stay for a family of four.
