I walked Via Francigen solo, and that was the coldest day of the year. Host Antonio turned on the heater warm up the room before I arrived. He knows what pilgrims need. The whole apartment is spotless clean, warm, comfortable and equipped with everything I need. There is a kitchen, sofa, table and TV. WI-FI is fast and steady. Bathroom shower water is hot and strong. There is a take away pizzeria just 100m away, very convenient and good price. Antonio prepare plenty food for breakfast and a night 2 L water for me. He has stamp for pilgrim too. Apartment is only about 150m from VF route.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. It's a series of bungalows. Its fresh and lovely. The staff was welcoming and the food was so good we ate dinner there twice! It was a beautiful time of year to go, October. Note - they close October 4th for the season. Everything was clean and crisp and there was SO much room! The pool isn't heated so a little chilly for us but it was very pretty and laid out well. There's no gym. But we loved the bike riding on the coast and if you aren't "sporty" you can ride in your car. Take an excursion to Santa Maria Leuca by car or bike you won't regret it. And get gelato in Castro which is 5 minutes away. Breathtaking and welcoming.
