The host Antonio was very kind, speaking very good English. The village Villalago is very lovely, with the beautiful San Domenico lake nearby.
The apartment is very cozy and warm with heater, even if it was very cold outside.
What helped us the most was the reservation of the very nice restaurant in the village. We arrived on Monday, I had asked the host for advice for restaurants for the evening(Monday evening is difficult in Italy for finding restaurants). Thanks to the reservation the host made, the staff in the restaurant waited for us, serving us very good and typical Abruzzo food.
We enjoyed our stay in this apartment in Villalago a lot and hope to come back soon.

Great, secure very peaceful rural location with all the amenities you might need. Spacious cottage, fully equipped kitchen. Very welcoming and helpful host. Delicious home made cookies for breakfast are included. Not to mention that the host leaves some local specialities (salami & mozzarella) in the fridge. There was also coffee, milk, bread and jams available on our arrival. Great base for exploring the region of Abruzzo. We will definitely be returning here.
