Lovely staff, lovely pool right outside our door. Was well needed after a long drive
The staff couldn’t do enough for you, ordering pizzas in as most places were closed for Laos new year
Would highly recommend and definitely stay again if we are lucky enough to visit Laos

The room was big, with AC, WiFi, a fridge and desk and it was clean. The staff was friendly. There was hot water downstairs (I prefer when the kettle is in the room but it's still ok).

The cutest beagle in the reception area, I could have stayed all day with him!! Guys on reception were so friendly and went out of their way to help us. Pool table in reception and connect 4😁 also good that there was a water refill station!
Pakse is a small, dirty town without a clear center.
Pakse is a small, dirty town without a clear center. Few good restaurants, and few people speak English. You have to have a scooter to get anywhere. There are interesting places in the area but not many of them are properly developed. Rather, their best years are behind them. On my next visit to Pakse would like to avoid Pakse city.

Unfortunately I was only in Pakse for 1 night. The city has lots to do and lots to offer, however isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing. Many come here to do the Pakse loop which is supposed to be great.

I have been to Pakse a number of times, it backs onto the majestic Mekong River. I can thoroughly recommend both the Champasak Grand Hotel and the Pakse Hotel. There is a lovely market located in the centre of the town where you can buy nearly anything.

Decent restaurants and good to get convenience items, but not much to do directly in the town. Good hub for day-trips via motorcycle or tour, but expect to get really dirty if you do them via motorcycle as only the very largest of the main roads are paved outside of the town.
Not much nature nearby, all flat areas have been cleared and converted to farmland. It takes a bit of work to get to areas with a bit of nature, but it's nice once you do so. Once you're out of the town the small villages vary from somewhat picturesque and mostly traditional to modern cement. Definitely worth exploring the countryside via motorcycle.
Waterfalls are nice, but can be a bit crowded (by local standards).

We chose the more expensive 4,000 island tour expecting to see more. We spent 5 minutes at 2 waterfalls, which are impressive, in an 11 hour day and that was it! The rest of the day, 10hrs and 50 minutes was spent waiting for, or sitting on, old buses and vans.
The much cheaper Bolonan plateau would have shown us villages, crafts and agriculture and been much better.
Welcome swimming pool after the heat of Pakse in March, comfy bed, easy to organise tours and onward travel, lovely breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit. The free shuttle to and from the centre is easy but there are plenty of places to eat around Le Jardin. Daolin is just a ten minute walk and serves great food for instance - and other places are much closer. The market is also just across the main road where you can have proper Laos drip coffee. Ms Noi has created a little oasis away from the dusty city and she was a pleasure to meet.
Beautiful and peaceful property on the outskirts of Pakse. Ngoc is very friendly and helpful. She offers free water refill, cooking class (which we struggled to find in Laos), money exchange, booking transport and can arrange a Bolaven tour (we very highly recommend, driver is very friendly and knowledgeable, great day out!). She also has a tuk tuk driver she can call to take you into Pakse center which was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and ended up extending. Thank you Ngoc!
The staff were so kind, helpful, great English and enjoyed talking to their guests. Helped with recommendations on places to go, things to see. The rooms were large, beds comfortable, well decorated. It was closer to a hotel than a hostel. Pool table, large communal area and free water fountain by reception. Returned for a 2nd night after a couple of days on the Bolevan Plateau and they let us leave our big bags while we were away
We really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse and all that Pakse has to offer. The owner Tina was very kind and welcoming, she shared a meal with us one night and it was great to connect with a local in this way. The room was our favourite in Laos and Tina suggested some beautiful local spots, look outs and waterfalls to visit.
Room is clean, and those beds in room are large and comfortable
Bathrooms are hygiene
Staff are warm hospitality.
Owner kindly invite me to have Laos foods dinner with them
The location is in center of Pakse so that you can easily travel around, especially in the afternoon you can enjoy sunset on Mekong delta river.
I love this hostel alot.
Everyone is so helpful and kind.
Especially the receptionist named Phoud.
I had to check out very early at 4am and my friend forgot to pay 2 bottle of beer.
Phoud help me with her own money.
I will try the way to give her back when I back to Laos at soonest.
Love from Mirror, VietNam.
New family run guesthouse. Budget friendly, in a side street close to the river and restaurants. The owner rents out motorbikes and is a knowledgeable source of information for things to see in the area, including the Bolaven trail. I had an amazing two nights here, thanks Xavier and family!
Breakfast was exceptional - fresh fruit and coffee. The rooms were beautifully decorated and personalised, the hotel also made great efforts to move us on the second night when they didn’t immediately have a twin available. Very helpful and good shuttle service into town.
Staff was very helpful and professional. The room was very clean and had all the amenities. I swim and the pool was very nice. They have a wonderful breakfast and there are restaurants close by for dinner and lunch.
Back again for a third night after completing the loop. I still love the place and I highly recommend this guesthouse. Tina is so helpful and this time organised a tuk tuk to the airport. A great stay.
All the other reviews were right this place rocks! I was greeted and given plenty of info on what to do around Pakse. For sure book as soon as you can because it does fill up.
Feel like home. The host always showed us their hospitality and active support. Facilities were new and clean. Come here if you are in Paksé and you will never regret it
Best hostel I have ever stayed at in Laos. The girl at reception was beyond amazing!! thank you so much! She went above and beyond and helped me meet lifelong friends.
