The hotel is a little far away from the main city and a little difficult to reach.Plan your meals beforehand as there is no restaurant around and the hotel kitchen has limited options.

Prakash and other staff members were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They took care of us very well. What is even more impressive was the food made by Chef Prakash. We are originally from Sri Lanka, and we have had plenty of Sri Lankan food, including home cooked food. But the Rice and curries dinner we had here was unique and the best we ever had. We had a great mountain view from the room and balcony, and were able to enjoy the Sunrise directly from the room.

Name of the place aligns with the experience I had in there, what a cold world. Sightseeing in the Town is just minutes away from the place. Not crowdy like in the city and has a spectacular view from the place. Staff and the owner are very friendly and which made me fonded to that place. Ambewela is a quiet little place with lush grasslands used for farming. Ambewela railway station is the 2nd highest elevation railway station (after Pattipola) so the whether is lovely and can get a bit windy and chilly at night.
A walk along the railway tracks would be a great experience if you’d like to take that up- natural flora and fauna, especially the rhododendron trees with their red blooms.
