The location is near by the lake . Only 2 minutes to the lake we saw the wild Elephant. Only 15 minutes to the lion rock. We had very fun cooking with the chef.

The food at the buffet was so good! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were extremely comfortable & you can literally spend the whole day here without leaving. It has everything you need from a pool to bikes to quad bikes and massages. Live piano and music. Great bar and beautiful gardens

The hotel was in a great location if you're looking to go to Lion's Rock (it's a short walk which we did first thing in the morning to make it up for sunrise), also with great views out of your bedroom window. But the best thing about our stay was the staff, everyone was really friendly and attentive. In particular, Sanath went above and beyond to support us, always with kindness and a smile on his face.

It was a very nicely arranged place. Small chalets surrounded by tropical plants. Rooms were clean and tidy, with a bit of mustiness smell, but I guess it’s hard to avoid in high humidity. Hotel staff was very nice. I tried to get something vegan for breakfast but my attempts to explain this to the staff members failed (as in other places in Sri Lanka) so I ended up with a set breakfast menu. The pool area is also very nice. Overall this place has a very pleasant vibe.

Our stay at Hotel ECHO was rather average. While there were a couple of things we liked, such as the hotel's location just a 3-minute walk from the Sigiriya rock entrance and the delicious dinner we had at the restaurant, the overall experience left much to be desired.
The hotel itself is quite old and dirty, which was disappointing. While the room was of a good size, the bathroom was not up to standard and was also dirty.
We had booked a twin room for myself and a friend, but upon arrival, we were given a king-size bed instead. This mix-up was further complicated by the fact that the person who checked us in did not speak English, making communication difficult and frustrating.
Overall, while there were a couple of positives, our experience at Hotel ECHO was not great, and we won't be staying there again.

The pool was gorgeous and we loved having a morning and afternoon dip. Our room whilst large was in need of a good coat of paint and the air conditioner needed replacing, it worked but made a rattling noise and the fins were broken. The breakfast was good, lots of choice.

Roshan and Rita where really nice Hosts. They organized a Driver for us to Guide us to several sights and to our next Destination. Rooms and Pool where really nice and Clean. It was awesome to chill in the Pool an watch the Monkeys play in the tree next to it. They offered a late Check Out for free and organized a babycod for our Baby - they are very childfriendly. The staff was really friendly and fast and the Breakfast was way to much for 2 persons to eat :)
