Fantastic little campsite in the middle of the Sri Lankan bush, only accessible by 4WD. Head in here and feel the serenity. With just the two tents it's a small, perfectly-formed operation run by the wonderful host Nero, who not only looks after your every need but whips up amazing meals in his little camp kitchen, served on a table under the stars, with a bonfire to complete the magic. In the morning Nero took us on a safari in the nearby Yala National Park, which was magical at sunrise. Highly recommended.

This is such a special place to stay! We saw loads of wildlife around the property and out on the Safari. We booked two jungle family rooms for our family of 4 and they were spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was decent, drinks were yummy, and the service was great. They don't play music at the pool or restaurants and so you become attuned to all of the nature sounds around you. It's a wonderful place and great value!
"Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It’s Just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance.

Yakaduru is a great destination for visitors. The climate is hot and dry, but the abundance of trees and sea breeze helps keep it comfortable. The rooms, made with mud walls and natural materials, stay cool inside, and are equipped with fans, attached bathrooms, and clean beds, providing all necessary amenities. While different from luxury hotels, it offers a unique experience that everyone should try. The lodge serves delicious and customizable meals, including traditional Sri Lankan breakfast options. We enjoyed our lunch during the safari, where we spotted leopards, elephants, bears, peacocks, birds, and monkeys with the help of their safari jeeps. In the evening, we embarked on a bush walk through bush and rock areas, even visiting a chena area where we climbed tree houses and enjoyed coconut shell cups of tea. At night, we gathered outside the lodge for a delightful BBQ. We highly recommend Yakaduru to all - it's an experience not to be missed!

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected.
Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long.
Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes.
Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well.
It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves.
Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment ..
But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We stayed at Laya Beach resort which was very beautiful and was very close to our safari's which made our stay even better.
The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.
We loved everything about this hotel! As this is a small hotel (only 3 rooms), we were the only guests (we booked 2 rooms here). Everything looks like new, there’s a nice pool zone, you can reach beach on foot (takes less than 10 minutes). The staff was amazing and we couldn’t imagine a better service. They prepared a lunch box for our 5AM Yala safari tour. We also had lunch and dinner here - the food was amazing and the portions were huge. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who considers having a safari at Yala national park!
Everything about this hotel was excellent. The location amid the Yala National Park is ideal for any wildlife enthusiast. The Staff is very attentive and friendly and their service was beyond expectations. The food was superb (Kudos to the chef) and had a very good Variety. The hotel Naturalists has very good knowledge about the wildlife in Yala and would definitely recommend going on a Safari with them. Overall the experience at Cinnamon wild was away beyond our expectations and would definitely go again whenever we can.
This camping site is in a good position.Afternoon walk and afternoon tea are free so far, especially afternoon walk is worth to go for,I saw a lot of monkeys and birds, because we just walked beside the fence of Yala National Park.
The dinner is delicious, including a bowl of soup ,roast chicken and sea fish, dessert,of course it’s not free.In the night, I saw some of the fireflies.when I waked up,I heard different birds singing. It’s very nice.
You can take a hot shower in the tent.but the water is salty.
The exceptionally nice and friendly staff and the close location to the entrance of Yala National Park made this stay close to nature very special. We felt very well taken care of and were very happy of our choice to stay at Yakaduru camp. Very knowledgeable Nishanta took us for a very interesting bush walk with lots of insights about local wildlife and community. The full day safari - also organized by the friendly staff - was full of wildlife sightings and definitely recommendable.
We had a high room with a nice view from our balcony, and could see for miles on the roof terrace. The room was spacious, comfortable, modern, well decorated, with a fridge and TV, and a lovely bathroom.
Buddika welcomed us with refreshing drinks, organised a fantastic safari, and was a perfect host.
Restaurants were within easy walking distance.
I highly recommend staying here - we saw more more expensive options around Yala, but I doubt they were as good as the Blue Sky Hotel.
Wow! Honestly could not recommend this stay when staying in Yala. The staff are absolutely amazing and made the trip so much more enjoyable and stress free. I loved my time here so much and we extended our stay. The tent was immaculate and a lot nicer than most hostels we have stayed in. It was so close to the national park yet so very secure. The camp site itself is lovely. I really really couldn’t recommend it enough. You will not be disappointed.

Allure Yala is a beautiful property, bordering the Yoda Lake with spacious rooms & all amenities you could ask for including a plunge pool.

Thank you for the hospitality & for making our visit so memorable!
Hiruni & Chathura .
A very beautiful, very stylish, still cosy hotel. Some of the rooms even suitable for groups up to eight. And the jewel: Appu and his wife and grandson. Caretaker and cooks of delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. Nice pool. Close to the Yala entrance. We very much enjoyed our safari with the smart and experienced driver, also organised by the hotel.
All staff were pleasant, welcoming and attentive. The hotel was peaceful and relaxing, with a strong focus on sustainability. A wide range of choices were available at meal times with organic and locally sourced products. The location was perfect for Jeep Safaris into Yala with provision of an excellent packed lunch on request.
This hotel is equipped with shampoo, shower gel, refrigerator, air conditioner and swimming pool.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful, They took me to see the nearby beach and the temple built in the rocks for free.very thankful.
This place is close to the gate of Yala National Park, the staffs can pack breakfast for you.
Aqua Hotel Yala sets the standard for excellence! The attentive staff ensured every need was met, and the rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable. After a day of wildlife spotting in the national park, coming back to such a welcoming atmosphere was the cherry on top of an amazing adventure.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Reaching the hotel was a real adventure because there had been a flood at Yala National Park two days before and the transfer from Tissa required a full size safari vehicle. This is peaceful and relaxed place in the jungle.
Its a beautiful villa very close to yala national park. It was comfortable and clean and exceeded our expectations.. would definitely recommend the host and staff for a wonderful stay . We booked a safari as well at a bargain rate through the host
Exceptional experience at O2 Villas Yala! So beautiful, private and peaceful. Amazing staff! So accommodating and truly went the extra mile. Lovely pool and views! A monkey even came to visit on the balcony. What an experience!
Excellent glamping experience in Yala - the tents are great, beds are comfortable. The staff in particular were very helpful and attentive. This is a very remote location though so do be prepared for something a bit off road.
Rooms were outstanding - spacious and felt like a home away from home. Beautiful pool. Staff delightful and went out of their way to help. The hotel organised two safaris for us. Food and drinks also extremely tasty.
Such a different room (or I should say tent) style, eveything was as expected from a 5 star hotel. Stayed 1 night, breakfast & dinner options and taste were really good.
Adventure in the wilderness of Yala. Great hotel , very delicious traditional cuisine.
All types of birds, insects, and even snakes are there.
