The apartment was so clean and in an amazing location. So convenient for families. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. The toilets were clean and all sanitary measures were followed. What a lovely place.

It could be a very nice area if it weren't under Moroccan occupation. Moroccans have colonised it and are oppressing the indigenous population by excluding them from the economic life. I hope the occupation ends very soon, and that Saharawis and Moroccans who accept to live in Western Sahara can live in peace soon.

Laayounne is a region that has been under a lot of political tensions since 1975 until now from armed militias outside the Moroccan boundaries. These tensions are covered by the international media however in the reality of things these tentions have nothing to do with the status quo of the region. This media coverage negatively impacts the tourists’ overall idea of the region.
The militias located in the Algerians lands near the Moroccan boarders have intentions of controlling the region in order to take it away from the Moroccan sovereignty. This ancient Moroccan sovereignty that has ruled over the mentioned area and its south for centuries has resulted in a great diverse cultural civilisation. Nowadays, the Moroccan Western Sahara is undergoing a very interesting development era thanks to the efforts of the kingdom in order to continue its ongoing rule in making all its different regions developed and safe. Moreover, this era is to protect the sahrawi region from the Milichias’ political and media distortion of the status quo of the region.
Whomever visits laayounne would notice that it is a turning place/ point between the civilised and the bedew-in life.
I would recommend the interested people in the development of anthropology and politics to visit laayounne in order to witness the coexistence of the modern era civilisation and the bedew-in life also the security and safety the Moroccan kingdom is providing its Sahrawi region.

Laayoune is a cute town/city in Western Sahara (the occupied portion by the Kingdom of Morocco). It is the largest city for the region and the gateway to Dahkla, more south. I drove from Agadir to Laayoune and did not regret it given the amazing views. Laayoune has enough places to see in a day and a 2/3hs walk. Then you can head to the beach, 20kim from there, by taking a "grand taxi" for only $1.20. if you want to see Western Sahara, if you are going south to Dahkla or even Mauritania, stop for a few day.

Well, a boring city, nothing much to do, with the (desert) surrounding it, no pubs/bars at all, no theaters or movies, very few cultural events, ,no restaurants worth the mention. If you're planning desert related acitivities (hikes or Suv rides) it can be a good place, though i'd recommend dakhla more.
The hotel is very centrally located, on the main road in Laayoune. Airport transfer is provided at a small charge. Rooms are comfortable and silent, although might need some freshening up. Very fast wi-fi. The staff is very friendly, and I want in particular mention the manager Mr. Adil Mouane, who provided an excellent a professional welcome over the ordinary. He also arranged contact with a guide who could take me around and outside the A real professional hotelier! I warmly recommend Hotel Al Massira for visitors to the city.
This hotel was super clean. My room was large and serviced daily.Top marks to the staff for being friendly and welcoming.I want to mention Mouloud at reception and Mohamed and Hicham at breakfast.A special mention must be made of the very kind lady who took me in her car to the bus station on the morning that I was leaving.Breakfast was excellent and sleep quality was perfect....This is an excellent place and is definitely worth returning to....Top marks
The location is just across from the main Laayoune bus terminal making it ideal of travelers. Laâyoune is a pretty cheap city and public transport is easy, safe, and convenience. This hotel is fairly priced, the beds are firm and comfortable, the pillows were so fluffy and soft. Azzdine is very welcoming and tried to help us despite some language difference. They have an amazing roofdeck, I hope they can put lounge chairs up there.
The tent is very basic like life in the desert, so don't expect luxury and comfort. But if you love the Sahara and don't complain about the sand that is everywhere, then go for it! The tent is really large, places for seven persons to sleep and store the luggage. Best place to stay near Laayoune. Highly recommend to discover something else.
I couldn’t find the location but they where very nice they sent me an email saying sorry for what happened to me they will rembourser the hall amount if it was booked true the hotel, because I used Booking.com they can’t do anything but they will ask booking to refund me the hall amount but nothing happened yet
Great staff. One waiter spoke only Arabic but he work very had with our pointing and gestures and figured it out. Hotel has some lovely architectural features. Room was very comfy. Airport shuttle available with hotel manager picking us up.. Great hotel.and great stay
A very nice relatively new hotel. Comfortable bed, comfortable bathroom. Parking in front of the hotel. Very clean and friendly lady at the reception. Unfortunately the restaurant (breakfast)was under construction. Nevertheless highly recommended.
Very nice spacious apartment. Big shower, plenty of hot water. Big bed, clean sheets nice pillows. Delicious breakfast. Lovely helpful staff.
Entertaining view of the chickens and rabbits on the roof opposite. Not a whole lot to do in Laayoune.
Everything was wonderful there. The place was very clean the location so central.the staff was very friendly especially SAID He’s a very kind and helpful person . Really best place in Laayoune.
The hotel is great. Location is perfect with several restaurants, girls from the reception are very friendly and always there to help and facilitate your stay. Thank you!
