Exceptional location, located on the beach of Blue Bay. Stayed in a seafront unit with great views. Unit had kitchenette with full size refrigerator. Was able to park onsite. Breakfast included. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. Due to late flight and checkout, we were offered a transit room for free, which helped us a lot. Restaurants in walking distance, across road. Shopping Centre 3-4km with everything. Great snorkelling in front of Blue Beryl with beautiful corals. Great place.

Blue bay is perfect for a typically Mauritian beach holiday. There are no large shops or fancy restaurants. There is a shopping centre a short ride away, but in general this is a quiet area, which is exactly what we wanted. It was our fifteenth, yes 15th visit to Le Peninsula Bay hotel, and it is perfect for our needs. The hotel is not a 4 or 5 star, but a very good 3 star. Most rooms have sea views. Excellent beach.
Excellent beach. Lots of outdoor options -- boat trips, SCUBA, snorkelling, wildlife tours. The Bougainville Restaurant was superb. The nearby BoVallon Shopping Centre was new, and a great place to shop.

Blue Bay is a good location, but it is very windy.
Blue Bay is a good location, but it is very windy. (September) Near the Air Port. Excellent shopping Mall. Great local markets. Many good (local) restaurants. Great diving spot. Driving in Mauritius is a challenge. Although they drive on the left (Like in South Africa) the roads are mostly very narrow. Motorists stop on these narrow streets to pop into a shop. You have to find a way around them. The M2 highway is a very good road, but full of roundabouts. Every 3,4 Km there is a roundabout.JacoPeru - 10Scored 10

Beautiful place with beatiful sea and sea life, white sand on the beach. The village is quit silent and there are not so many people. What is little bit disadvantage, there is just one small shop and only about three restaurants. If you are looking for night life is better to go to the flic flac resort. But we were very happy about staying in Blue Bay.

What an amazing place to stay and the locals where very friendly and always willing to assist when needed. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys snorkeling. Just remember when you go to take your snorkels and shoes to go into the sea. This was a beautiful and amazing holiday with so much beauty.CraigSouth Africa

Blue Bay Public Beach is only 3 minutes walk from the apartment, and Point D'Esny beach is about 15-20 minutes walk. The apartment complex's caretaker (Fany) is very responsive to requests but not exactly a chatterbox (maybe if you speak French?). There's a newly opened local food place just at the Ayurvedic centre in front of the apartment and the people who run it are very friendly, and even offered free samples of their food to promote the new business :)

We loved our stay to the last minute, house is very spacious, in amazing location, right on the beach, super clean and cozy, the views from the terraces are breathtaking. The kitchen was very well equipped, we also had a fridge, kettle and toaster in the room. Manoella was very helpful with recommendations where to eat and what to see. She is very friendly and interesting person to talk to. Can only recommend the Villa Bella!

All the places were beautiful, but next time I would go straight to Blue Bay to villa bella :) The accommodation is basically on the beach. during weekends very busy but that is also good to see! And if you want to be alone you just walk 5 minutes to the left. Not much restaurants around, but you should try some of the food from stalls. Loved it there.

My room was bigger than I expected, very clean and the bed was comfortable. I couldn't believe how close the beach was! Blue Bay National Park was a 1 minute walk from the hotel. I like how we could borrow beach equipment such as snorkels, flippers and even a kayak. I was sad I could only stay one night but I would return again.

Corals in good condition only 5 meters from the seashore (at the closest) with plenty of small fish, and other coral species and bigger fish further out. The restaurants were great, with excellent cooks and staff, and room cleaning spotless.
