The hotel is located ear to the town although we had a car so it was handy. You would need to taxi after dark. The gardens are very nice. The beds are very comfortable and two double beds in each bedroom which was great. The pool was also nice to have to relax in the evening. Good air conditioning.

A lovely, unique and peaceful hotel run by fantastic, friendly, attentive, helpful and professional staff, who made us feel so very welcome. Lovely room with a fantastic bathroom, and excellent air-conditioning, which was needed in the Valladolid heat. The hotel itself is beautiful, with great decor (lots of Mexican folk art), nice patios where you can sit and chill, and beautiful pool areas.
The breakfast is amazing; fresh fruit, coffee, juice, etc, as well as eggs cooked however you want them. The chef literally came up to our table to ask what we wanted. Incredibly tasty!
We also liked the location - really close to the central square (10 min walk?), but far enough away for it to be quiet. Building 2 (stayed in a superior room there - well worth it!) is quieter than Building 1, as it sits back from the road.
It's an ideal place to stay when exploring Valladolid, an incredibly lovely town - and doing day-trips to nearby archeological sites such as Chichen Itza, Ek Balam and Coba. We stayed 4 nights here, which was ideal for what we wanted to do, but could easily have stayed longer as we fell in love with Valladolid!

Our room was directly poolside allowing us to enjoy the beautiful garden-like setting of the pool area—a very serene and peaceful space. The room was nicely decorated though we found the beds to be a little more firm than comfortable. The mini-fridge in the room was helpful. The air conditioning worked very well. Good location and felt very safe.

A great food town. Everything form $1.50 street tacos to fine dining.
Over a two week period we only had 1 bad meal.
We suggest skipping the restaurants around the main square. Expensive and not the best food in the city.
Everything within walking distance. Interesting museums, local market and a bee farm.

Good access because of the Train Maya, but, if traveling using the Train Maya, double check the schedule, is only 3 times per day, that the train goes to Can Cun.
If you have the time, are plenty of places near by to visit Chichen Itza, and Ek Balam pyramids, Cenotes, Churches, plus the regional food, just outside the ADO terminal, is a lady selling "panuchos", is a very simple snack that will surprise you with its flavor, totally recommended, I will go back, just to taste this delicious food.

Wonderful city well worth a visit.
Wonderful city well worth a visit. A long stay here would be perfect. Handy to visit the nearby ruins at Chichén Itzá and close enough to the airport without staying there, With a car an ideal pace to explore towns, villages, cenotes and ruins nearby. Beaches are not far away. All around delightful city with friendly and helpful people. Felt completely secure here. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a beautiful, old Mexican town that's hip — Spanish speaking, not touristy. Cenote Zaci is near the large Central Park with a beautiful Cathedral. There are a variety of good restaurants and places to stay, a great light show at an old convent. It's close to Chichen Itza, more area cenotes, day trips, and tours. People are friendly and helpful.
Perfectly located about 2 blocks from the central square, La Muuch is a tropically lush, boutique hotel with two small pools, the first with 2 hammocks and filtered sun, the second semi enclosed Grecian style. Breakfast was included and quite excellent. Rooms are very comfortable and there are several furnished private patios or secluded areas ro relax & enjoy. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Service is excellent. Priced higher than most of the local hotels, it is a very relaxing place to spend a few days.
Amazing staff. We were on a two week road trip staying 4 nights in Valladolid. One morning we had a knock on our door. It was one of the staff informing us one of our tires was flat. They took the liberty to have a local repair shop come to the hotel, take the tire and repair it. We fully expected to pay for this amazing service. When we asked how much we were kindly replied with, it is a courtesy of the hotel. Really great staff. Amazing location. For breakfast close by try Rue. Cute patio and great coffee.
A nice old colonial style place turned into a hotel, well located near the central square of Valladolid and within walking distance of the bus station. The locally roasted coffee provided for the room's coffee maker was a nice touch and not something you see the likes of very much at this price point, the WiFi was consistently strong, and there was an air conditioner in the room—though it mostly cooled off enough at night that it wasn't needed in the winter—and the room was quiet at night.
The room was huge, bed was comfortable enough and huge, the hotel has a charming look to it. I didn't really get to look at the whole hotel and I spent only the evening there to sleep, but I was still very impressed. The staff is nice. The shower is big. And the room was clean. Great value for the price and wonderful place to stay if you are looking at Valladolid to get an early start on Chichen itza or want to explore the area nearby.
The staff was amazing! Yanet immediately helped us with all of our questions. The breakfast ladies catered to our tastes and were very sweet. The staff definitely spoiled us. The rooms were impeccable. They cleaned them every day. Marcos has a very well run hotel. It is quiet and relaxing. There is a large store right on the corner. We will stay here again if we return to Valladolid.
We enjoyed our stay at the Archie Boutique Hotel in Valladolid. The rooms are quite small but nicely decorated. The backyard is nice to rest and to enjoy the (free) coffee in the morning. The receptionist is really friendly and caring. For Christmas he surprised every guest with a candy present and hosted a Piñiata Party.
The hotel is lovely, very safe, and with very spacious rooms. It counts with a pool and a restaurant on site. We only used the hotel to rest, and it worked perfectly. The staff was super friendly and gave us some recommendations of where to eat and what to do in Valladolid. The room rate included bottles of water.
The location was perfect as it's right in the heart of the action, and the beauty! The staff were friendly and easy going. The hotel is the epitome of what you travel to Valladolid to experience. The beds were great, the breakfast delicious and the pool a relaxing treat. And the bar staff make a great margarita!
Hotel Posada San Juan is a gem! The personal is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and the hotel is situated closeby the central square of Valladolid. We stayed here with our 2 kids of 7 and 4 and this hotel is very family friendly.
It was a beautiful hotel with impeccable charm, decor, and service. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. It’s a short walk to the main square in Valladolid. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
The ambiance and the food in the hotel was great. This being a boutique hotel meant that you felt like you were in a more familial atmosphere. The small courtyard is very well appointed and the whole place is very clean.
Everything, Xavier and Marco are the best hosts to this very exclusive little boutique hotel, love te pool with its underground cave, the music, the breakfast... Everything stayed 3 nights! Valladolid has much to offer!
Property was excellent. Travelled there for my honeymoon. It was a very well kept, cute boutique hotel with an eco friendly jungle vibe. love the saline water cave. really recommended for couples.
Very spacious room, friendly host, hot water, comfortable beds, lovely pool area, great location walking distance from the centre of Valladolid, easy parking right outside the hotel - perfect!
The property is exceptional. Beautiful boutique hotel, perfect location, amazing food and staff. Breakfast is impressive and the overall decor of the property is gorgeours.
It is an older hotel tucked away in Valladolid's downtown. The ambiance of its courtyard is lovely, full of plants, flowers and birds. Our room was big and comfortable.
What a lovely boutique hotel. Very calm and quiet, and the pool was amazing. The receptionist helped us with laundry. We got welcoming gift. Really nice accomodation.
The room was beautiful with open garden shower
