Walking proximity to Chateau Marquette - ideal if staying there for an event. Room was clean and breakfast was good. Staff is also nice and were able to check in earlier.

Wonderful and beautiful hotel in a lovely street. Close to train station, both nature and cities to explore.
Its unique location at 40 metres atop a dune and right on the coast makes the renovated Strandhotel Het Hoge Duin an iconic landmark in Wijk aan Zee/North Holland.

A small town, well connected to Amsterdam by direct train in 30 minutes. Good train and bus station placed together. Can recommend Taxi Bas, always on time.
I chose Beverwijk because i was working at nearby Tata Steel in Ijmuiden, only 10 minutes in a taxi or a 25 minute cycle if you prefer.
Plenty of small independent shops in the town centre, some lovely restaurants (De Open Keuken) is superb, and cafes and the people are very friendly and everyone speaks excellent English.
It is not a tourist destination but a lovely place to stay if you want good access to Ijmuiden, beaches and Amsterdam without the hustle of a city

Beverwijk is a lovely shopping place.
Beverwijk is a lovely shopping place. The highstreet has a big variety of shops, but for those who like big markets there is the Basaar (Friday, Saterday and Sunday's) which is huge. (Clothes, food, orrientel stuff, you name it) Lots of places to have a drink or something to eat.We had a lovely piza in an Italian restaurant, but there are also Chinese and Greek restaurants and ofcourse places to get Dutch food.
Beverwijk has a very good train connection, both in the direction of Alkmaar and Haarlem and Amsterdam. It is very central, yet less expensive to stay.
Going in the direction of Wijk aan Zee, there is a nice sandy beach and there are some lovely woods to walk through.

Although it's an industrial town, quite cozy with many shops and cafes. Good train connections with Amsterdam(45 mins) and Haarlem (18-20 mins). Rotterdam is in approximately 90 minutes by train. Sea beaches are in 20 minutes by bicycle.
The host was very nice and supportive towards activity planning.
Since the hotel is very small you get to know the other guests during breakfast and can exchange on experiences and have a nice chat. The breakfast was wonderful.
The location is gorgeously designed, it feels a little like a living museum.
Overall the Habitat feels very welcoming.
Loved the location, free parking close to the hotel, the surroundings - very quiet and safe, the hosts - nice and welcoming, the beds comfortable and the breakfast excellent.
the room is interesting,
It was a problem to get from the train station to the hotel
I think thay must promise transportation from the train station to the hotel
