We visited close friends, so it was a holiday trip but not for sight- seeing. Breda itself has not much to offer, it is a mid-size town with a pedestrian zone in the center but no real highlights. Apart from the usual shops there are some nice restaurants and bars, but you have to know them. It has a very small cozy city center but, depending on what you like, it has enough entertainment. I took the tour in the cathedral and went up to the tower. Walked around the city center, went to the park, stond on the "Hoge Brug"... You can visit the begijnenhof and go to a couple of more museums. Arriving, it had been pouring with rain and I took a taxi, also simple. Breda is a delightful town, compact and easy to navigate around. After I booked, they let me know that they had a downstairs booking for a party that would go on till late on my last night. So I added a night to my stay in Amsterdam.
