Hotel location is nice. Ten minutes walk to the beach. The hotel is nicely furbished and very clean. The small room was actually very very small. There was room just for a small double bed. The bed was not very comfortable either. The bathroom although very small served its puropose.

Wassenaar is clearly an affluent area of NL.
Wassenaar is clearly an affluent area of NL. My Dad likened it to the Mayfair of Den Haag. Huge, beautiful houses and clean/quiet streets. Local shops are efficient and easy to find and the beach is great during the warmer months. Our highlight, and main reason for our first visit (of many) over 10 years ago, was Duinrell. We got a free upgrade which was just such a lovely surprise, thank you to the hotel. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and they were so careful and attentive with regards our gluten-free request. It is an oasis of calm in a busy part of the country. Really a lovely experience!

The castle is surrounded by a nice green park with free parking. House was equipped with everything necessary and there was really much space so that all family members could even have their "own zone".
