The breakfast was included with the room rate and you were given a variety of eats that was delicious. Location was central to all other restaurants and sight seeing tours. The staff was very welcoming and had a great variety of knowledge that helped us get around town. Very nice staff. Highly recommended stay.

Lovely place in a lovely area. The food was excellent and the staff was lovely. They went above and beyond to fix a dinner for us, when the restaurant was closed.

Great location, close to train station and shops. Definitely more affordable than hotels in Amsterdam and quiet in the evening. Very pleasant and helpful front desk staff.

The property is amazing. It’s spacious and all staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. It’s got a lovely lounge where you can have cakes coffees / drinks (cakes are 10/10).
The rooms are very nice too.
The restaurant is lovely, but in my opinion the variety of food isn’t that great.
The spa is also very nice, however it seems that the jacuzzi was not working when we went. So we didn’t get to go in the jacuzzi. But the pool and saunas are very nice.
Excellent location. Stayed here instead of Amsterdam city because it was much cheaper and I am so glad I did! It was only 15 minutes on the train (train ticket cost around €4 and the trains were very frequent all day).
First thing I noticed when walking from the train was the smell of chocolate/cocoa in the air. The town felt safe and was quiet but then it got busy with tourists during the day. You just cross over the bridge where you can see around 5 or 6 windmills. Theres traditional Dutch houses, windmills, mini museums, Dutch cheese shop with lots of free samples, clogs museum/shop, you can hear the birds singing as you walk around it’s so lovely, I also got hot chocolate with the local cocoa and you could buy Zaanse Chocolate too which would be a great gift.
I stayed for 2 nights but only had 1 day to explore Zaandijk because I had other things planned in Amsterdam (tour to De Tulipje tulip farm and Keukenhof which I would also highly recommend for April). I spent around 3 hours walking around Zaanse Schans which would also make it a great free day trip if you are visiting Amsterdam

Cute Little windmill village.
Cute Little windmill village. Wonderful insight into Dutch life back in the old days. Quaint little shops to purchase memories, A wonderful cheese factory, Many antique shops, a wooden shoemaker, highlight the area. It is a favorite stop for sight seer's. Weekends are busy as tour buses are the norm.

Houses en-route from railway station to hotel with floral tiles set into narrow brick pavement - much more comfortable walking than cobblestones. Very limited shopping compensated by a superb SPAR corner shop with wide range of take away foods and gifts. Superb Zaanse Schans Windmills and rural industries open air park. Allow minimum four hours to visit half a dozen windmills which have very different functions.
Wonderful Restaurant/Bar in old butchers shop. Lifting bridge over River Zaan - the Chocolate river - opens just in time for commercial shipping to pass to and from Amsterdam.

Lovely place to stay away from the chaos of Amsterdam. 5 mins walk to train station and 15 mins on the train into central. Good walks around. Perfect cozy bar/restaurant just over the road which is very reasonable. Spar 2 mins away which seems everything and bakery behind it.
The room was excellent. No complaints. We like the restaurant in the hotel and has a beautiful outdoor patio, you can see the river Zaan and the the windmills. The location is amazing - close to Amsterdam city with train but in a lovely rural area with cows, lambs etc grazing. There's also a chocolate factory so the whole place smells of cocoa/chocolate! The view from the hotel's terrace & restaurants with windmills was simply amazing. Good Italian food served in the restaurant. Very friendly staff. Nice decor in the bathroom and comfortable beds.
Nice and clean room. Good location, right next to Zaanse Schans (just need to cross the river). Beautiful neighbourhood (other than the main attraction, Zaanse Schans). The location is very touristic in the morning, but becomes really quiet and peaceful in the evening, once the attractions are closed.
Food options nearby. The hotel also has an in-house restaurant. Decent breakfast.
Nice young people in the reception. Breakfast was very good, the restaurant service in the restaurant (nice toung people) during dinner and breakfast. Surroundings, nice to walk and look at the beautiful arvhitecture and gardens, also nice cafes around there, our favourite one was just some steps away from the
Boutique Hotel main building. Don’t miss them!
This is a lovely location on the water opposite a pretty windmill. The hotel is modern and has a very nice restaurant with seating on the water or inside with water views. Just over the bridge is De Zaanse Schans a very picturesque traditional village with working windmills and museums.
Didn’t realize it was at annex until we get to the reception area as I didn’t see any options of ‘main’. It was a simple apartment that doesn’t even deserve the word ‘hotel’. Apart from all this, the staff are nice and breakfast is good.
The location is amazing. We had a really nice view from our room. The staff is super friendly and helped us answer all the questions. There is a beautiful terrace outside where you can eat or have some drinks. Really lovely hotel!
Enjoyed the area where the hotel was located. Parking was easy. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel was close to Zaanse Schaan.
View of the river was gorgeous-we had breakfast next to the window.
The hotel is very chic, the part that has the restaurant inside and is by the water. The staff is very friendly, the food is tasty.
We were given a room that is a bit further along the street. Clean and spacious.
Closest hotel to Zaanse Schans, nice view from the balcony to the windmills and the bridge. Free parking within 50meter (next to the supermarket that opposite side of the hotel)
