We stayed in Asker because it is close to Oslo, not really...
We stayed in Asker because it is close to Oslo, not really for Asker itself. Asker for me was only a sentimental place, I used to live and work there in 1988-89, so we spent half a day walking around and visiting the places I used to know 33 years before (some of them changed much, so they wer unrecognizable to me). Apart from that we have treted Asker as a unexpensive pied-a-terre to tourism in Oslo.

There were many different options at the breakfast buffet, and the food was delicious. The hotel is located very close to the Asker train station, but there was no traffic noise heard at the hotel. We appreciated that there was electric kettle and fridge in the room.
