Such a gorgeous family room and kitchen; large windows open up to the fjord; absolutely stunning! The kitchen was clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom worked great. Overall, a great stay.

The room was clean. The location is good. The facilities are located near the main road but far enough away that you don’t hear any road noise. The breakfast buffet is good.

Room was very clean and cozy. Shower was hot and pressure was great. Breakfast had a great spread. Enjoyed the views overlooking the fjord and the fun optional group activity of cherry stones and music bingo. Very close to a bus stop, but you must walk uphill a bit to get there. Great home base to explore the sidery and Queen's Trail, and not far to take the bus into Odda for Trolltunga.
Beautifully located overlooking Hardangerfjord and the Hardangervidda Mountains, this hotel offers free WiFi and rooms with either fjord or mountain views.

Fantastic views from inside (big window) & out (big deck) onto a beautiful small fjord. Sun most of the day, unless cloudy. We spent a lot of time there & didn't want to leave!
Could charge an electric car for a reasonable price (need a standard wall plug).
Tastefully furnished.
New kitchen. Small but usable for simple meals.
Whole cabin was for us. Very private.
Friendly & helpful owner.

The location, the cabin, the available facilities and things we could use (fishing rods, bicycles, toiletries), it was all amazing! The host was also very welcoming and encouraged us to use the fishing rods, even helped us find our way up one of the mountains nearby! The area is super secluded, so if that's something you enjoy I totally recommend this place!
It was a very nice way towards the place we stayed.
It was a very nice way towards the place we stayed. It was great seeing all those famous fruit gardens of Hardanger. It wasn't easy finding the place, though, as we didn't get at first that the whole village is called Lofthus.
At the foot of the mountain by the road there was a very nice little French looking stone church with a cemetery. It was nice visiting it, taking pictures there and feeling the serene atmosphere.

The whole area od Hardangerfjord is just beautiful.
The whole area od Hardangerfjord is just beautiful. And Lofthus is one of places which can serve as your base camp. From here you can manage a trip to Trolltunga, to many waterfalls, to Monks’ Steps etc. If you are a nature lover, you can spend weeks here :)
Everything about this hotel is great! We booked it because it was good value for a hotel with a pool.. but apparently it is also a sort of a museum, has a very extensive spa, great sports facilities, tennis court, squash, numerous fantastic lounges. The observatory/tower is awesome! The heated outdoor pool is absolutely great, especially at night with the stars and the fjord background… the staff was fantastic. Even upgraded us from mountain to fjord facing room free of charge.
Bottom line - We can not recommend this hotel enough!
This is a very classy hotel located on the Sørfjorden, a narrow branch of the Hardangerfjord, so narrow that you can see across the fjord from your room. Setting is spectacular. Spa facilities were excellent with several pools, sauna, hot tub. We hiked from the hotel up through the apple orchards along a river valley to a waterfall, about 3h walk, not too strenuous with great views. Dining on site is lovely but expensive; there are other options near by.
Incredible views from the living/kitchen space! We were thoroughly enchanted by the modern design of the cabin, and enjoyed soaking in the views from the large windows and the property's fjord-facing terrace. The rooms and facilities were spotless. The location in Lofthus was incredibly scenic, and we enjoyed a quiet stroll from the cabin to the small downtown. Truly an enjoyable stay, only wish we had stayed longer!
Amazing views and facilities! There were numerous breakfast options. Our room was spacious clean and modern. The view of the fjord was breathtaking. We used the indoor and outdoor pools. Numerous seating options outside to enjoy the sun and relax. Loved seeing the displays of historical items throughout the hotel.
After needing to cancel and change plans twice prior to this trip the staff were very helpful in getting us re-booked, and after two years of waiting to visit Norway we'd been looking forward to the Ullensvang hotel as a highlight for a long time. It was a very enjoyable stay and everything that we'd hoped for.
Wonderful location, very helpful and professional staff (both in reception and restaurant)- in one word: perfect!!!
We spent 2 nights in the hotel and had a great time. Breakfasts were delicious and the service was superb.
Special thanks to Mr. Maciej for being helpful and giving useful advices! Well done!
Swimming pool area was amazing, and actually all the outside area of the hotel. It was really nice to stay in such a beautiful, cozy and quite royal hotel.
View to the mountains is amazing, good breakfast and other facilities, qualified staff, nice and cozy rooms.
They had all sorts of facilities, huge property. Bar, tennis, swimming, boats, sup and most importantly a 10/10 location. View from hotellroom was breathtaking and you are close to several iconic hikes in Norway eg 40 mins to trolltunga
The location, hotel facilities and decor were very nice, even exceeded expectations. The scenery is absolutely awesome.
Jasmine from the reception was great :))
Breakfast offered many choices and wonderful view at the mountains.
Wonderful stay in a beautiful location. Loved the spa and games facilities. Lots of lovely nooks to enjoy a chat and gaze out at the views. Fantastic to be able to row out in the hotel boat on the fjord.
The hotel is lovely in a stunning location. Our room was very clean although a little plain. The bathroom had been updated and was great. The staff were very welcoming and the food was really good
The view is breathtaking, the rooms are a bit old-style but still nice, pool and sauna are extremely good and all with fjord view, the whole hotel area with own fjord shore could not be better
Best place to recover after Trolltunga hike. Historic hotel in Norway. Nice spa with an adults only area and free rowing boat. Best breakfast ever included in the price.
Lovely hotel, with friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is beautiful, and well maintained with a good breakfast. We ate dinner one night, and it was very tasty.
