I knew this was a budget hotel so I can not expect much. The surprise was even in this tiny room, they have a refrigerator, microwave and hot water kettle with coffee and tea. There is free parking if you have a car but we were on busses. Receptionist was most helpful.

This is walking distance from the bus station. However, if you have luggage, you'll be dragging it to 6-10 mins to the hotel. It might be hard if you come during winter. It is near the old town and a supermarket. The buffet breakfast with all those cheese are the best.

The position is great if you want to stay close to the airport and walk around. You can catch a bus to/from the airport and to/from main town, you can also walk up to the hill, to the ferry and on the bridge. In the right season, you can also hire a bike. The room has everything that you might need, considering that you are planning to pass your day out. The supermarket and the restaurant are very handy as well.AAnonymous - 6.0Scored 6.0

In general it was a good stay. Easy to find the place and get keys. The natural view around the residence was very beautiful. The pictures on the booking page about access to the beach are not the same on site. There was no access to the beach. Need litle bit more concentration on higienic standards. Thank You It was naice place for family.

Beware of the fine print when booking your room for the low...
Beware of the fine print when booking your room for the low discount price at Alesund Airport Hotel. Instead of a room in the actual hotel building, our room was in a little structure across the parking lot called the Mini Hotel. Our room was tiny and cramped with no place to put our luggage except the beds or the floor. I was unable to upgrade to a regular room so not happy with the checkin staff. One last thing, the Hotel is actually 10 minutes or several Kilometers from the airport.charles - 10Scored 10

Ytterland is one of the islands away from ålesund. There are more islands near Ytterland. If you want to have relax out form the city center, this is a nice place (take in consideration that you depen on the bus if you don't have a car) The islands including Ytterland are really beautiful. I highly recommend a trip through the islands. :D

There is a bus (private company, not related to the hotel) that stops at the hotel and goes to airport/city. But you need to buy ticket online ahead of time. Ask at checkin for website. Nothing special about the room really but that’s the amazing thing: for such a low price it was clean and just fine. I was very pleasantly surprised. Attached to hotel is restaurant with very cheap beer and (for Norway) cheap food.
