We had a room on the 10th floor with a floor to ceiling view of the stunning mountains so I feel extremely lucky! The room itself was very comfortable and the staff were super friendly - from reception to the dining areas.

Awesome location right in the heart of Mt Cook. Nice large room with amazing views right out my window. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Lovely shared living space and kitchen.
Awesome landscape views and friendly info center staff, but...
Awesome landscape views and friendly info center staff, but some tourist sites such asTasman Glacier and White of the toilets had signs "Closed during Winter", which was so inconvenient for tourists.

The views were fabulous!
The views were fabulous! It was very nice being close to the lake as well. Amenities were perfect for us. Very clean and tidy, kitchen has everything you need. Parking right outside the cabin. A cosy warm nights sleep. We travelled into the village for food and coffee, as we wanted to spend time down there. If we were there longer we would have tried the cafe at Glentanner. The kids loved it, and so did the big kids.

room was booked last minute on my way to see Mt. Cook.
room was booked last minute on my way to see Mt. Cook. Amazing views of the lake, the mountain, and the stars, there is not much light pollution and the stars were amazing.
Only complaint is that my dorm mate (Did not know him) was very inconsiderate to the others in the dorm.
Not so many people during the first night, there is a toilet and a sink in the dorm so that's good.
A good surprise, they provide a towel for all the guests.
It's quite rare to see that for backpackers.
I drove from Picton to Glentanner (8 hours drive) it's really good that they let you do a late check-in.
It's not completely indicated in their description but they let your key in the mailbox with the instruction.
The Glentanner center is located about 15min drive from Mount Cook. It is situated next to the water and surrounded by mountains. We enjoyed the common spaces, with kitchen and lounge. Also, appreciated that in the hostel bunk bed room there was a small bathroom. Everyone was respectful and quiet, it was easy to get rest.
Excellent view of my.cook from property. Neat and clean property. Communal bathroom and kitchen is also spacious and clean with full sets of utensils. Dining room is also spacious. This is good option for hermitage hotel/motel. Good value of money. I recommend to stay.
The location is amazingly situated about 10-15 minutes from Mt. Cook Village. We arrived a day early and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us at the last minute. The views from the room were great. The food at the cafe is good and the staff friendly.
The facilities were great. Lots of space to sit for dinner, great views of Aoraki/Mount Cook from the dining area. The location is awesome, only an approx 30 min drive to the park and the walk down to the lake is also very nice.
