A lovely beach with a cafe/shop/restaurant so ideal for families. Easy to reach nugget point from there. Bear in mind it’s at the eastern end of the Catlins so if you want to explore places further west, eg Curio Bay, you will have quite a drive. Stunningly beautiful with Sandy beaches and sea lions. Just a fabulous area not to be missed for nature lovers. Short drive to the nuggets and roaring beach with a chance to see the yellow eyed penguins. (Dawn /dusk) but bring bino’s.

Really peaceful place - great accommodation, host, garden and beach view - thoroughly recommended- if you’re on a road trip take 2 or 3 days to unwind here - take food to cook if going on a Sun or Mon as restaurant in town currently shut then- we thought that would bother us but with a good kitchenette and views to die for from the dining table and the outside furniture we were VERY happy staying ‘home’

A lovely spacious apartment. Very clean and comfortable with amazing views. A pub restaurant within a couple of minutes walk but not open on a Monday. We were there on a Monday!! Beautifully furnished, clean, modern bathroom, plenty of tea and coffee, towels etc. The view from the apartment was stunning. We watched a sea lion on the beach one evening. We kept the curtains open at night so we could see the nighttime sky. It was just a short walk down to the beach. Wish we had stayed longer. Everything was perfect and even better than that.

The room was nice and spacious, and well set up. It was well situated in the Catlins to visit and explore the attractions on offer. Being in Kaka Point it was nearby the only Restaurant in the area.
