Roxas is off the beaten track, a place to go to escape the crowds and the commercial overload. The people that live in the village near Mecaja are genuinely happy to see you and show you around. Mecaja where we stayed works closely with the little community where they are established. Roxas is not for fancy restaurants, and shopping. It will offer you the raw basics and you will get on just fine. Mecaja will help make your holiday dreams come true.

The laid back cafe/restaurant is great spot to do your online work since they have a nice Starlink connection or you can always find someone to chat with as the staff are friendly, warm and welcoming. You can do diving directly from the resort to nearby islands and sandbanks or you can drive around by motorbike/scooter or car to nearby attractions. The restaurant was really great especially for a small boutique hotel, and the specials were worth it!

They wake up early and cooked breakfast for me 😄 So nice. Guys, if you will be here, please stay in this hotel. Breakfast was local cuisine, rice with either corned beef or sausage and fried egg served with bananas and a glass of juice. Free tea and coffee is available from reception. I chose this location as it was pretty central in Palawan and allowed me to access Port Barton and numerous other locations fairly easily.justinUnited Kingdom

There are many colorful corals at two sides of the Island. The resort has a shuttle service to pick up at Roxas City from the pier. The price include full board and the food is very good.
