We liked how clean the rooms were. The on line check in was confusing but we had fun trying to figure it out. I felt like we were trying to get into am escape room. Lol. The area was fun with many adventures and great location by the bar and water.

The common kitchen area was nice. Fun to meet other guests and trade stories. We used the refrigerator and kitchen area for cooking. Worked out well. Rooms were clean and AC worked great! Well lit pathways at night was very appreciated after bio bay tours.

If you have dreamed of having your own private beach...Vieques is for you! Bring everything you need because there are no facilities on the beaches. Most of the remote beaches on the east side are closed due to stray bombs. They do not advertise this fact well. The social climate on Vieques is somewhat hostile. The vendors are dishonest, trying to rip you off. Lots of rude people, drunks and bums. A fistfight and shouting match broke out on our ferry ride. The locals and strays seem to be annoyed by the masses of tourists. The restaurants are a bit expensive. Overall it's a huge hassle getting to the island and then finding a car/cart. You're probably better off staying on the big island beaches. That being said, it's a beautiful spot and there's some nice snorkeling spots.AndrewUnited States - 8.0Scored 8.0
We came to see the BioBay.
We came to see the BioBay. It is quite a chore to get over there, so make it worth your while! We ate at Bananas and talked with a few of the locals. Got to see the wild horses that are all around the island. Enjoyed a sunset walk oceanside.BeckyUnited States - 10Scored 10

Vieques is gorgeous! There are so many beach opportunities.
Vieques is gorgeous! There are so many beach opportunities. We visited only four beaches on this trip since we spent only one day on Vieques. However, we loved driving across the island on a golf cart and taking in all the scenes. The horses everywhere give it a magical feel, and everyone is so friendly and laid back. Make sure to have cash as many vendors/food trucks don't take cards. The bio bay is INCREDIBLE and should be on everyone's bucket list!!DeniseUnited States - 10Scored 10
If you just want to get away and relax Vieques is the place...
If you just want to get away and relax Vieques is the place to go. Not a lot to do here, simply enjoy the beaches and relax. Easy to travel around island. Love all the horses roaming the island. Ferry easy and safe and inexpensive. Love the bio bay tour of the bioluminescence at night. Real highlight. Food on island was delicious.

I would pick the Guesthouse not because of the luxury but the location and the fantastic hosts, Nikki and Steve. They are ready to answer any questions and guide you along the way. The property is clean and spacious and a few minute walk from a near private beach. Don’t think twice about staying here.
