I would say...look no further, this is your place! It is a gorgeous, manner home with other accommodation options on site. The horses are beautiful, the owner a wealth of insight and information. A class act! We will happily return and the next time I am going to ride with Carlos the owner and horse guide.

We were unimpressed with & frustrated with No offer to help elderly with luggage, across rough surfaces from the parking area . No resolution for overly warm room, & malfunctioning safe.
Issues with refrigerator not cooling, nonpaved surfaces & uneven granite pavers making luggage transfer difficult . Room was not properly readied with the overly warm temperature and 3 tissues left in tissue box & malfunctioning safe & refrigerator

We have visited more around Arcos de Valdevez than the city itself. Easy to access ATMs and cafes and restaurants. Had lunch in the city, a very good restaurant at Rua Dr. Vaz Guedes, I don't remember the name, I believe was O Lagar.
By the way, the dessert Bolo de Discos was very good

It is a nice small town with a lovely centre and quite some restaurants to choose from. From Arcos it is easy to explore the surroundings. We went to Sistela (passadiços, which were beautiful) and Monção (worth a visit). And visited Quinta do Santiago where they make great Vinhos Verdes and Alvarinho.
Other cities nearby are also very nice, but we already knew them (Ponte de Barca, Ponte de Lima, Viana, etc). And of course Peneda-Geres, which is beautiful. Very beautiful part of Portugal

Great little town in the heart of various wine country regions, surrounded by other small towns, each one cuter than the last one. The National Park is also a stone's throw away. It's a must-visit.

The best restaurant is definitely at the hotel Ribeira collection and the service is spotless!

Arcos de Valdevez is a lovely beautiful city located along a riverside. This is an excellent opportunity to have a long walk or a bicycle ride with a beautiful view of a riverside with a varied landscape.
The hotel is clean and great for a family trip. You can find all you need for your own rest and for kids, a playground, outside and inside a swimming pool, and a wellness center with a sauna.
I love the breakfast, good choice on any taste and fresh orange juice.
This was the perfect location for us to explore the surrounding countryside by bicycle. A charming little village with friendly people and a little cafe for coffee, beer, and a few snacks. The apartment was good for the four of us and had a locked and covered yard where we could keep our bikes, and a space outside to park the van. Very peaceful, rural setting.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very helpful making sure we were comfortable with our decision since the weather wasn't great.
Our bungalow was perfect, just what we needed for some good rest and relaxation, with all the necessary amenities. Good wi-fi service.
Good breakfast with a couple different choices.
Definitely to return in the future
Everything about this house was excellent. The location is near the Gerês National Park but also close to Arcos de Valdevez so you can make a quick getaway into the beautiful outdoors without being too far from civilization. The house is very cute, cozy and well equipped. The hosts also did everything to make us feel welcomed. Definitely recommended.

Hugo at the reception was a pleasure to deal with.
A place to repeat.
Thanks again.
A great base to explore Arcos de Valdevez and the Minho region. Well preserved typical historic manor house of Minho with welcoming and helpful hosts. A must see property in the heart of Arcos for the lovers of period architecture and ambience.
Expansive and fresh offerings at breakfast, the hotel and dining staff were very helpful and accommodating, and the location was exceptional - I especially enjoyed listening to the river rushing over the waterfall at night.
We enjoyed our stay in this little stone house very much. It was very cozy, had everything we needed to cook and the location was perfect close to the nationalpark, but also close to arcos de valdevez.
The staff is 10! Especially sr EDI, at reception. He is a kind person who has given us all the information needed with kindness and courtesy.
The room is very comfortable and the hotel is beautiful
Hotel staff is fantastic and very helpful; Beds are very comfortable and Hotel facilities are in very good shape. Location is also very central. Swimming pool is good.
All the hotel experience was great: from professional staff, to cleaning standards, to confortable bed and calm and relax atmosphere. Breakfast was also great!
Such a lovely place, a little gem in northern Portugal. The photos do not do this place justice. Every room had the most spectacular view. We hope to be back.
