In the heart of Vila do Conde, a former village of fishermen, Hotel Brazão offers elegant rooms. Only 900 metres from the beach, it features free Wi-Fi.

Good location, Reasonable price, friendly and supportive staff and nice breakfast. Double Bed was big enough to have a good rest. Bath tub was also big enough to take a rest for my tired legs and feet from long caminho. Big supermarketis not so far from here (10-15mins by foot) If you are in Caminho way, consider here to stay one night.

Unfortunately the bad weather meant we didn't explore as much as we wanted to on foot. However there is a nature reserve opposite the apartment and two minutes walk from the door and you're looking at the ocean! The beach restaurant opposite was fine - the first day we had really good staff interaction with recommendations of what to eat and where else to visit. The second day not so when we visited for breakfast. It was out of season, however at 10am in an empty restaurant it felt like we were interrupting the staff football watching! We asked for breakfast and were told they didn't serve breakfast as that's not common in Portugal. When we pointed out that we had seen breakfast in the menu the previous day a menu appeared and we discovered the language barrier - we should have asked for brunch!!!
