Wow, what a find! Beautifully appointed room, lovely staff and a special mention of the amazing breakfast. We couldn't believe the choice for such a fair price. Free off street parking was a bonus. We did drive into the old town as it is a bit of a walk but you could do it, lovely area to walk around with heaps of restaurants and bars. Laundromat just around the corner in case that's important to you (we needed it!)

The city is very clean and tidy, with lots of very nice places to eat.
The castle is very well preserved, with a Military museum in one of the towers.
One of the reasons we drove to Bragança was to see the Graça Morais art exhibition - she is one of Portugal's best contemporary artists, and she lives and works in Bragança - it was very good!
Just north of the city, the Montesinho National Park has plenty of wilderness for trekking, biking and road trips.

Bragança is a cozy little historic town, the main feature being the castle on the hill. Recommend walking along the river to get there. A little bit of a climb to get to the castle but not too bad. Walk the castle walls and then wander the interior. Come back through the charming center of town. Plenty of good little restaurants and cafes along the way.

The beautiful ancient town of Braganca is a good choice for a short stay while being in Porto. The atmosphere of a place far from the beaten track makes it all worthwile. It offers a picturesque old town, numerous museums that one might visit for free, a park where one can stroll along the river and enjoy the views. Plus, there is a castle (Castelo de Bragança), which is a must-see on the list. Being there do not forget to drop in a Tourist Info where you'll find a superkind staff who will help you plan you trip in and around the place. It is also the gateway to the Park Natural de Montesinho. Enjoy!

To stroll around the castle during a late evening is great.
To stroll around the castle during a late evening is great. Perhaps there are some outdoor activities. I liked the town so much, because it's pleasent to walk around - more pleasant than in other towns, but can't define exactly why so.

Braganca is a very welcoming city, the food is amazing.
Braganca is a very welcoming city, the food is amazing. Variety of traditional and more groumet restaurants. The best pastry coffee shops!
A wide range of delicious cakes.
Great water to drink and to wash, your skin and hair will feel soft.
It's very safe!
Wonderful and warm staff; welcomed us like we were family. We felt cared for and safe. The building is absolutely gorgeous and every detail was lovingly tended to; we always had a warm fire to greet us in the morning and when we returned at night. We loved the location, which was easy to reach from the highway. The hotel is situated on a wide street in a sweet little village. We certainly look forward to staying in this treasure of a hotel again.
An amazingly charming inn located about 15 minutes outside of Bragança. It is in a very quiet village and that is exactly what we were looking for, a place to enjoy a restful weekend but close enough to the town. There was coffee and tea available all day, the room was comfortable, the interior of the house (a remodeled stone house) is incredibly charming and beautiful. And there is EV charger which was a big bonus for us!
Really cosy hotel in the city center and only 10 minutes away walking distance from the Bus terminal. We only stayed one night but it was very nice, the room is small but we used it only for sleeping anyway and it is quite confortable and we weren't even aware of the cold that was outside. Quite a nice breakfast, extra points for having Nutella available!! The restaurant is also very good, all of the food was excellent.
The property was a large one bedroom home in the centre of Braganca. We were there during early January and it was cold outside (overnight was -1C). The home was warm with heating throughout. We cooked our own dinner the day we arrived and the flat had all amenities we needed. Lots of finishing touches welcomed us, toilet paper made into flowers just being one!
We visited the bakery/cafe opposite more than once!
quick easy to book in, staff were fantastic, Rooms were clean and tidy, reasonable size with nice views over the local area, its got a great bar and restaurant for evening meals, safe secluded parking for our motorcycles, With fantastic views from its location on top of the hill outside Braganca.
there were 8 of us we used the hotel as a base to explore northern Portugal.
would recommend it.
The size of the room and the bed. The comfort of the bed and the cleanliness. Having a desk, which is excellent for business travellers. The very complete and fresh breakfast. Having a garage is excellent for me when I'm on business, but there is lots of parking area in the outside. Although it's not in the historic centre of Bragança, it's very close and very accessible from the highway.
The 5 bedroom hotel is in a small village about 10km from Braganca. It is an old, lovingly restored building. Very clean and modern restoration, keeping the best of the existing. Great breakfast. Honor system wine and beer available, as well as some local products for purchase. Staff was very efficient and helpful.
The location is very good. The hotel is near to the shopping centre, bus terminal and there are local shops and restaurant just beside the hotel. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast is okay with the price of booking. On request, I was provided tea and some cereals that I wanted.
This was a beautiful luxurious space in a great location. The host was more than helpful and accommodating, going out of her way to ensure our stay was great. Unfortunately we did not stay long in Braganca, but the location was excellent to find restaurants, bars and downtown interests.
Right in the center of Bragança. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Good value for money. If I'm ever in the region again, I'll be definitely staying there. Breakfast was good as well with vegan options.
Great rural hotel. Clean room, big bathroom, all the things one needs were there.
The attached restaurant is a grill restaurant. So meat is very good, so it seemed.
Not so good fro people that do not eat meat.
A very good hotel on all accounts. Very clean, comfortable, and friendly. With a kettle in the room and plenty of plugs for your devices. Good WiFi. Excellent breakfast. Two car parks in the back.
What I found more interesting is to be in the "deep country" and face a very high-tech hotel created by 2 entrepreneurs coming from the "old generation". Facilities 97% perfect
A fine old house within walking distance of everything in Braganca, beautifully furnished, a delicious breakfast and excellent service from the owner and his staff
Great location five minutes outside Braganca, beautiful Quinta property, wonderful Hosts, clean/comfortable room with fridge & kettle, outdoor swimming pool.
