A truly wonderful place to stay! Maria has a beautifully appointed apartment and as her daughter speaks English, she was very helpful with explaining all the necessary instructions. A few games and puzzles were provided for entertainment if tv is not your thing. Close to everything in town and their recommendation of restaurants was great. Parking was right outside the front door (in a very safe town).

Help was always available in spite of our poor command of Portuguese. Our accommodation was roomy ( much better than the 12m sq. available on the River). A wonderful idea of rebuilding a casa in the very heart of the history of Castello Rodrigo; but with the excellent comfort and cleanliness. Obrigada.

We felt so looked after at Casa Cisterna. Castelo Rodrigo is a beautiful medieval village that is well worth a trip and Casa da Cisterna allows you to stay right in the middle of it! Such a cosy feel and wonderful dinner and breakfast. We highly recommend it.
