All appeared to be very new and good quality. Very comfortable bed, very good breakfast. Very beautiful balcony and surroundings. Extremely kind hosts, very supportive and helpful and available with anything. Ideal place to visit all the area (car most likely needed though). It’s family run business. They have old vineyards to take care off and are doing great job. I would definitely recommend tasting/buying their wines, they are quite differrent from mainstream. Continental breakfast was supplied to our fridge daily with fresh bread delivered to our doorstep each morning. Friendly staff, and resident dog, Ruca was extremely welcoming and we were fortunate to witness the lambing season, all on site. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside. The historic towns of Marvão and Castelo de Vide a short drive, and no shortage of hikes to be had in the São Mamede National Park. Portalegre is a good sized town with at least three supermarkets.
