Beautiful manor renovated and expanded for more rooms. Good buffet for dinner and Good breakfast. It is the perfect spot to find calmness in the Alentejo countryside. Beautiful garden and pool. We had an issue with the AC and the hotel management immediately relocated us to an upgraded room. Nice and very helpful staff.

I was previously staying in this hotel unit and the conditions were excellent and a pleasant stay, so this time i was a little disappointed, because in two nights, the dinner meal offered could be better quality if it did not repeat itself, there should be a code of conduct for the use of the pool (like playing the ball inside the swimming pool...) and despite the fact of positive worker effort, the service could be a little more attentive and helpful. My evaluation its a 3 stars hotel with a huge potencial do be too much better!!

We liked the place so much, quiet and gorgeous hotel.
We liked the place so much, quiet and gorgeous hotel. A building with a story, a surrounding with a story and the best staff with a story to tell. You feel in a different time, sitting on the terrace and enjoying the view over the garden and the trees and the mountains. Silence - stars in the sky! And very unique is you can see the stars and the moon by visiting the telescope - Very Unique - beautiful explanation. A Must see!

Our family has been staying at this hotel for many years, it’s a beautiful property with a privileged location if you want to get away from it all and re charge batteries. The staff is outstanding always happy to help and will go out of their way if need be to accommodate our needs. The food is lovely no complaints either. The only thing I would say is that needs bikes for rental they used to have them but they are gone, the boys loved the football tennis table but the bikes are a must please. Also didn’t like that there wasn’t a kettle or coffee maker in the room! Lastly some parts of the hotel need maintenance particularly the pool decking, we had to remove quite a few wood chips that got stuck to our feet. Having said this I will come back and I do recommend this hotel to families.

It's an amazing place, adjacent to the Mines which, in part, funded the building of the original manor house from which the hotel was converted...as it was the C19th owners home. Great conversion, excellent public spaces and huge bedrooms

We absolutely loved staying at this tiny house. The people were so friendly and the area very beautiful! We walked the circuit of the abandoned mines and loved it so much. We also wandered around the little streetss of the town and were amazed by the beauty and kindness of the people. Would definitely recommend coming here!

Lovely grounds and the swimming pool was such a bonus in the Alentejo heat.
The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, Alex on reception and Jake in the restaurant in particular.
The evening meal option steak on stone was very good indeed.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
excellent hotel with a receptionist who clearly has a skill for service. I had help with every thing, managed to get food just before the kitchen was supposed to close, was extremely well taken care of and felt really lucky to have chosen this hotel for the night.
It is a lovely country hotel, the location by the lake is fantastic in the summer. Everyone was very friendly and there were mostly Portuguese families staying. The grounds were well looked after, lots of nice plants.
I loved everything. If I had known that the hotel and the village were so lovely, I would have made plans to stay longer. Philipa from reception was absolutely brilliant..
The hotel staff is exeptionally friendly. However, the hotel remembers better days. Furniture, bathroom facilities often obsolete and scratched. Good breakfast.
